I must disagree with you. The new BSG is everything Trek used to be about and should be about. Character driven drama with a touch of adventure thrown in. Enterprise has vastly improved but still seemed formulaic after a while.

I saw every episode of Enterprise and will truly miss it. However, if I, a die-hard Trekkie can stop making it must see TV, why would the average TV viewer watch?

That would be ironic, but UPN has been looking for an excuse to cancell ENT for a long time. I doubt they'd uncancell it. If the rating improven alot and Paramount cuts the price enough there's a slight chance some other network might pick it up, but I just don't see that happening. I can see Paramount doing a 4-6 hour mini-series about the Romulan War or the Birth of the Federation. They'll probally want something around during the 40th anniversary and mini-series/TV movies are cheaper than theatrical movies. Star Trek 11 will probally come out around 2008/9, but who knows if it'll have ENT characters, VOY/DS9 characters, or wholes new characters.

in my opinoin, the new battlestar galactica is off to a good start, but i want to see the cylons reasons for turning against us, what are their motivations, their philosophies. if they address those questions fine otherwise cancel that too

Although I love the new BSG, it is not a replacement in any sense for Star Trek: Enterprise, and I don't think it was intended to be.

I for one commend Les Moonves for making his decision and announcing it early enough so that two things can happen;
It gives the producers the time to craft a series ending that is not simply thrown together. Secondly, and more importantly, it gives the cast and crew a heads-up prior the next years pilot season.

I enjoyed Ent more than any other of the TV incarnations and thought that TNG stayed at the movies at least two or three installments too long.

I agree about the timing. Better to know now and let everyone move on than wait until the last minute. I have seen every episode of every tv incarnation and movie put out and have enjoyed them all. I will miss Trek on television but life goes on and maybe a break will be good.

Personally, I think the final straw was BSG drawing a higher rating than Enterprise. It showed that there simply was no audience for Trek.

Grand Slam in Pasadena ought to be interesting next month.

There was/is an audience for Trek, just not the Trek B&B was spilling out...

I've gotten used to having Star Trek on the air since 1987. True, I do think that a break is needed, but I didn't want it to happen now after four season and after I was really starting to enjoy the stories of this season. I do understand the reasoning behind the decision, but that doesn't mean I have to like it now or ever!

Well, I guess after the series finale has aired I will observe a moment of silence then delete channel 14 from my channels listing. Enterprise was the only show worth watching on UPN.

Thank you to the cast and crew for the last four years. It's a shame the show got cancelled at this point, when there are so many good ENT-era stories left to tell.

Star Trek is the only show I watched on UPN for the past 10 years. No more Star Trek on UPN means no more UPN for me.

Thanks to the entire ENterprise cast for their hard work. You guys did a great job, especially since season 3. I only wished Enterprise started as strong in the first season...

I feel really bad for all you Enterprise Fans. Chin up, smile and go on with your day. Trek will be back in some form, some day. That's what is important. They will not just sweep it under the rug and forget that it ever existed. It WILL be back someday in the future. Lets just hope that it is better than ever when it comes back.

Remember that Trek exists as long as we do. We survived without a new TV show before, and we will this time.

History will not forget the name Enterprise...

this is Andromeda's last season


what suprises me is that this gets canceled but Reality TV stuff stays on the air


i wish there were more SCIFI shows in primetime on primetime networks
