Screw you Stewey and your cancel Enterprise crew.

Okay, that's one.

I like how this guy addressed it.

Please, no goading in this thread.

Edit: I suspect someon would beat me to it while I link-fishing.

And as for my warning....

Screw you Stewey and your cancel Enterprise crew.

Warning for flaming. Please stop with comments like this, it's not worth it. Just cool down guys.

Kan inte va sant. :(

It can´t be true.

I guess I knew this would happen.
When the last episode has been aired I can´t believe there won´t be no new Trek. :(

I would like to give my thanks to the cast and crew of Star Trek: Enterprise for 4 years of good Trek. :)

Eventually when a new Star Trek series comes I hope Manny Coto will be a part of it.

The show did dig its own grave. The network didn't help it with poor promotion and the eventual shift to Fridays (like a Friday night helps any show that wishes to attract younger viewers).

Sadly it won't reach 100 episodes (if it only did a full 24 eps this season), but in a way, I'm glad Star Trek will take a T.O. from us for a while. There is so much out there right now. It's not 1990 when TNG was at a peek and there was no Sci Fi Channel and no real competition.

What would be really interesting is if they pick the series up in books.
Promote the voyages of Archer by getting writers to pump out a dozen stories a year for the fifth, sixth and seventh years of Archer's mission.

It'll
a) Wet the appetite of fans who were looking forward to more shows.
b) Downplay the franchise so it has time to rebuild its interest for film & tv.
c) Get many young kids who were/are fans to read!!!!!!
d) Become as big as TOS did in print form.

All this is conjecture, but I do think the ST brand name should return to something much smaller. No movies for a while. No planned productions for a while. It's just too exhausted.

At least there is now BSG and other intersting sci fi shows.

My E-Mail to UPN:

I live in Canada and don't get UPN. But the only show I watch from your network, which I get through Space, is Enterprise. Everything else franky sucks. I don't understand why you would cancel it. Yes, 2.5 million viewers is a terrible number, but the quality of the season has doubled in two years, and it's only you guys at UPN holding it back. You should have taken a risk with season 4 and promoted it like hell, at least after christmas. I guarantee it would become a reliable show. Anyother thing, moving it to Fridays really killed it. Star Trek could have been returned to its former glory if it was well marketed, and put in a good slot. But no, most people didn't even know about the new night, and many more lost track after the christmas re-runs because of no promotion. You guys killed it, and now are burying it like its not your fault. Today marked the beginning of the end for UPN, count on it.

It wasn't my favorite Trek show, but I still enjoyed it warts and all. And I'll be sad to see it go.

But on a bright note, we can all go watch Ron Moore's Bimbostar Galactica with its gritty realism. Where else can you see someone get their head bashed in with a flashlight.

Hey....you can complain about gritty realism all you want but shows that don't have it get.....well NOW you know what they get

This news falls on me like a pile of bricks. I am very saddened, and will miss ENT, despite any ill feelings I had towards it earlier in its life. It's ironic that not long after I go from hating ENT to liking it and looking forward to seeing it through to the end of a full 7 seasons that it should be cancelled now. :(

Even though you know the axe is hovering overhead and is about to fall, that does not mean its impact is any less resounding. :(

Sucky news to be sure. I'd like to thank the cast, crew, writers, producers, art department, everyone for making Enterprise, which, even though it may not have been some people's cup of tea was still a good show to enjoy.

Kudos especially to Scott Bakula for his constant positive attitude, The Art Department for always being top notch, and of course the writers, who among them Mike Sussman, the Reeves-Stevenses, and Manny Coto, have done an amazing job these past two years in revitalizing the show, and on the series as a whole.

I also want to ask the rest of the "LET'S BASH ENTEPRISE" brigade to simmer down and let those of us who enjoy the show to do just that - enjoy the show in its final moments.

Wow...what can I say? I never thought I would really see this. I now know what all the first generation fans felt like.

Sad sad day :(

I have to say I'm not surprised, but I'm so sad the show had to be forced off :(

 B&B

Remember though guys, TOS was canceled only 3 seasons in, even less than Enterprise, and look what spawned after it!

So, this isn't the end folks!

The franchise will not die.

We will one day again see a resurrection, and who knows what it will entail.

I'm hoping for a series based far far far in the future!

Wll, on the bright side with no trek on the air it gives Paramount a chance to get people's appetites wet for trek again. Maybe that way people will go to the movies without complaining. it still sucks though. :( :( :(

What a shame, I wish they had waited until the end of season 4 to announce it. I'm not going to be able to enjoy the show as much knowing it's been cancelled, as they're essentially saying the rest of this season means nothing. I was always an on and off Enterprise fan depending on how good the arcs were, but the cast grew on me and it's still sad.

Between Berman and Braga running the show and UPN being responsible for it's promotion, this show was treated unfairly from the start. I think the franchise will pick up again after a nice long break, maybe 5 to 10 years. I hope so anyway, if not there's always plenty of DVDs.

I kept quiet for all of certain peoples ramblings and rantings, so I accept this awar...warning as a badge of honor. But please check that it's only one warning. I know it looks as though two of you warned me for the same offense.

No offense but I'd like to hear a clarification from the mods directly because they really do seem to be trying to stiffle ANY negative opinions. I'd just like to know where the boundaries are?

No offense taken, just trying to ease some burden off Top41 who I'm sure is going mad right now trying to keep things inline here.

I don't see them stiffling ANY negative opinions. Just the ones that aren't condusive to discussion.

Glancing over the thread the only warnings I see are given to those expressing glee with "Yippee!", "Yay!", "About time!" "Best news all day!", etc.

But they're not warning the ones which actualy DISCUSS and offer a full opinion like, "I didn't really like the show, so I'm not sorry to hear this."

If you can't see the difference between the two, then I'm sorry.

This totally and completely sucks. We'll likely have no more new Trek of any sort for years .... if ever. I put ALL the blame on that worthless piece of crap network UPN.

A year ago I would have been warned for a Wooh hoo! Yay its gone!

But....

Enterprise evolved into a decent show that I had just got back into enjoying, stuff like the VT and the continued arcs and great stories were really making this show a decent addition to the franchise.

I am sorry to see it go.

Well, I started reading through this thread, but it's too depressing, and much too long.

Suffice it to say, I was shocked to learn it had been cancelled. I knew it may be coming, but I was holding on to hope, and I really never expected a decision this early either.

Enterprise has been good while it's lasted.

Hopefully this isn't the end of Trek.

:(

Fucking UPN. If it wasn't for the loss of jobs to innocent bystanders, I would wish that it sinks into a black hole and dies.

Ah, what the hell. I hope UPN sinks into a black hole and dies.

and just when the show was starting to get better

Season 4 has been Enterprise's best

at least we are going out with quality episodes
