CANCELLED

I am very sad and upset. I already emailed UPN.

The ONLY good thing that will come out of this is that in 2 years, we won't hear that B&B are developing the next Trek series and that Berman is very pleased.

Oh, and only ten more bashing reviews from some people.
I won't miss that.

wouldn't it be great to have it on SCIFI

they coulda put it in front of SG1 where Andromeda is now

then you could watch Ent, SG1, Atlantis, BSG in one sitting on one channel :D

that WOULD be awesome, wouldn't it??? :)

but it's never gonna happen...

(hey, i can be a pessimist when i choose to be!! :D)

these are just rantings. i think i will chill out now. i admit this isnt like me , and while i am not violent still i had to vent. i am hurt but the old me will surface. it still stings. obviously when Trek was initially cancelled, it flourished

This is so sad.

There has been Star Trek on the air ever since I was 6 years old.

I'm now 23.

I'm honestly surprised... I have to say, despite the low ratings, I thought it'd make it. I'm keeping my hopes up, maybe a fan campaign can save it. In a way, they've given us a lot of time to step up the letters and hassle the execs.

It's been great talkin' with all you fellow Enterprisers about the show... and hopefully there'll be more talk to come.

I am not surprised by this news, as it has been hinted at by cast, writers, and other sources, but it hits me with mixed feelings. I have been watching Star Trek since the sixth season of TNG. I've seen every episode of TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, and VOY. I tried to enjoy ENT, but stopped watching around the early second season. Though I agree the show was getting better this year, but ENT never caught on for me.

However, it feels in some way that Trek has now come full circle. Who knows what the future has in store for Trek, but lets enjoy what's left. For better or worse it has been a great ride.

Tai. I'm 22.. been watching Trek since I was 5. This really does suck indeed. It's gonna be weird being without Trek for a while.

I'm 25, been watching since I was also in my single digits.

A friends dad had all of TOS recorded, and I use to watch it at their house when I was a young kid, that's what got me into ST, TOS. Then in '86 I was right there in front of the TV for TNG baby and been following every series since.

i felt though i had to seethe. oh we are all in pain big time , some of us are subtle about it, others vehement

I grew up with TNG. Heck, it helped me learn how to read in 22 months!

If only the rest of the population would sit their kids down to watch ANY Trek show, we'd be a hell of a lot smarter. :p

That would be the greatest thing that could happen to ENT and SCI-FI at this moment!

Hell it may even start me watching the line up because I don't watch any of the shows on Sci-Fi! :D

That is the greatest thing we can hope for at this moment! :D

I can't say I'm surprised by this news. The episodes we got for Season 4 were pretty damn decent, IMO. However it was too little, too late for Enterprise. If TPTB didn't take their sweet time getting their shit together, this probably could have been avoided. We needed to start seeing season 4 quality episodes way back in the early half of season 2 at the latest. But it didn't happen. Enterprise got more than its fair shot and it failed to deliver. Personally, I am amazed that it wasn't canceled sooner.

With that being said, I am definitely not rejoicing over the news of Enterprise's demise. Enterprise was a final attempt to revitalize the public appeal for Star Trek. Due to its faliure, this will probably be the last Trek series we'll see in quite some time.

Unfortunately, Sci Fi can't afford it and in fact, the UK's SkyONE is already footing part of the bill for BSG.

Plus Moonves runs Paramount studios as well as UPN, and because of that (and his and Berman's comments), it seems that they do not plan to continue production once they are done.

you know what , fuck it . this will probably engender a warning, and possibly suspension, but i dont care. i am fucking pissed off and while i dont mean any of these rantings, i feel i have to vent. bear in mind i would not do this to les mooneves.

february 3 2005 a white ford is rapidly traversing around wilshire boulevard careening at eighty. the time is 335 pm. les mooneves who just recently cancelled enterprise and is elated is startled at first/ he dismisses the screechings of the white ford as some driver making a sharp maneuver . three seconds later he turns around only to have himself ascended eighty feet in the air courtesy of the ford hitting him at eighty miles per hour. mooneves falls on the ground in obvious pian. the assislant takes a bat and proceeds to smash it over moonves head until his head splits open like a grapefruit . he then sets moonves on fire , and then subsequently vaporizes him with a phaser, recently invented
Warned. Twice. Little invoked, but a very important line of policy:

"the moderator may decide to give you a warning - depending on the severity of what you posted, you may even get two."

You have constantly shown disregard for the rules on this issue. You do not seem to understand that it is simply unacceptable to post material such as that which you have generated.

I would seriously rethink your posting style while you are gone from the board.

God damn it. Despite its flaws, I was really into Enterprise. I only missed one episode during its entire run. :(

I guess all I can do now is watch the reamins of season 4, and hope that one day in the not-so-distant future Star Trek will return better than ever.

As for UPN....   They can suck my hairy white ass. They'll regret it...just like NBC did then they cancelled TOS way back when.

I for one am glad the show got canceled and was not picked up by anyone else. Oh I liked the show even though it was not perfect, but I will finally get the one thing I have always wanted to see, Star Trek fans getting exactly what they deserve. Anyone that thinks that the franchise is not dead is just dreaming. There will be no new shows or movies made with the Star Trek name for at least 20 years. All those people that have been complaining about ENT and not watching it because they wanted "real Trek" now will have no Trek.

I find it ironic that fans orginally saved the orginal series and franchise, now those same fans killed the franchise. I for one hope Star Trek never comes back again and if it does I hope that it gets the BSG treatment to further punish the "fans".

Well, Star Trek came back before, and might again someday.

Myself however, I'm done with Star Trek. At this point, it's dead. If there is a new series or movie, I will not watch it. In fact, there's probably no reason for me to be here at all now.

Oh, and Enterprise may have been cancelled but it's still canon.
