Can YOU speak Klingon?

I'm curious, there's a stereotype that true Trekkies speak Klingon.
I love the Trek , but I can't. So, can you?? :klingon::klingon::klingon:

I do not. But I do have conversational Klingon tapes that my mom got me years ago. Never really tried, though. And how "conversational" can Klingon be, I wonder?

Pretty conversational. After all, there is an entire Hamlet in the original Klingon.

I purchased the first Klingon dictionary waaaayyy back when. So I know a few words and numbers.

Even though I consider myself a Trekkie I'd never touch that Klingon dictionary because I have a rather strong dislike of all things Klingon.
If there was a dictionary about Cardassian, Romulan or Bajoran though, I'd be tempted to check it out.

Just for fun, how many Klingon words/phrases I can recall off the top of my head:

Qa'pla, racht, gagh, bat'leth, mek'leth, pe'taQ, d'k tahg, Hab SoslI' Quch, rokeg, gre'thor, sto-vo-kor, targ, raktajino, cha'dich, grishnar, chech'tluth. So I can guess I can basically order food, insult someone, or name a weapon (and I'm pretty sure the spelling or capitalization is off on half those words.) :klingon:

Does anyone actually speak Klingon? Seriously?

I don't.
I know 4 or 5 words from hearing them in various episodes but I never bothered actively trying to learn the language.

Errr.... (Checks Signature) Maybe...

There is also the Klingon edtions of Gilgamesh, Much Ado About Nothing and Tao Te Ching. Useful stuff.
