Windows live messenger stopped working for me today so i decided to uninstall it and then reinstall it.
But every time i try to install windows live it keeps saying that live messenger is still on my computer yet i can not find it any where.
I have looked in the temp files i have gone to add and remove programs and removed everything i could find there and have also done a search but now i can not think of anything else to do.
Is there a trick i am missing or will i just have to live with out messenger:confused:

It may mean that you already have the installer on your computer, rather than WLM itself. Windows normally downloads the installer when you want to install.

The installer should be here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\WindowsLiveInstaller\MsiSources

I've been having an issue with Messenger lately too. It crashes, but not really, and I have to manually kill the process in task manager before relaunching it. Same thing happens with VLC on occasion. I'd dig into it, but I think I'll just install the Windows 7 RC instead. :lol:

Thanks in the end i had to type msiexec /x {0AAA9C97-74D4-47CE-B089-0B147EF3553C}
But now i have finally installed it messenger is temporally unavailable:guffaw:
