Re: Can anyone here draw what a JJ Abrams Enterprise-D might look like
Let's not give JJ's any ideas.
Those are some rather large windows.
Picard: Captain's log, I'm still trying to reach the other end of the bridge. ~Walks past a few skeletons~
I forgot that I made this ship! Those windows are each 2 stories high. They were originally 50 cm, but I scaled her up to something more believable because the original 600m ship wasn't dramatic enough, and it could only fit 1000 shuttles on the deck- clearly not large enough.
And besides- Picard doesn't walk from one end of the bridge to the other. He gets Worf to take him across in the Defiant!
I think I'm going to build her on Sketchup- I like this ship.
Here's how imagine it would look. I didn't spend a loing time on it as I thought Abram's Enterprise was ugly and the nacelles looked like 1970's stand up ash trays.
I hope I never see a reimagined Enterprise D.
Gah! You win! For the love of god, hide this ship before someone gets an idea to put her in the next movie.
I can see it now. An alternate universe Enterprise D comes from the future and somehow makes it to the new alternatate universe. Captain John Luck Pick-ard found out about his cooler Alternate Universe equivilant with his cooler Enterprise. In a rage of jealousy, he travels back in time to destroy the New old Enterprise because That New Old enterprise travels to an Alternate Universe where the New Captain Kirk prompts the old Captain Kirk to hook up his buddy with a chick who turns out to be Jean Luc Picard's Mother.
Well- ANOTHER alternate universe Kirk finds out about this and he's jealous because he wants to hook Sulu up with this chick but in that universe Sulu is gay. Kirk is a homophobic asshole in this other alternate universe so he tries to steal the New Sulu from the New universe.
But this Kirk's Enterprise is too small and not significant enough to withstand the Fan Force, and it gets destroyed.
I know everyone is following me here, but hold on because NOW it gets complicated. Because the Millinium Falcon shows up from an alternate universe in a galaxy far far away. Unfortunately, he get's sucked up into the planet sized bussard collectors of the new Enterprise D (see above), mistaken for a speck of intersellar matter.
It's really quite a sad tale. But if it wasn't for the infinate mulitiple universes, we'd never have such a beautiful tale!
