camelot vs merlin

There's talk of series 2 though? I was expecting it to cover the whole legend in one series. That's interesting.

Not even close. Season 2 is purely an origin story. This show seems like it was designed for a long, long run. I am not sure if it will actually get it though, with the lack of a positive critical response, which is more important to premium channels than ratings.

But they know the exact numbers. They don't need guestimates and calculated from statistical averages, Starz knows exactly how many million TV sets were recording Camelot or watching Camelot.

Critical review is secondary surely.

They don't care how many are watching. They care how many specifically bought/renewed their subscription to Starz because of Camelot. That information is obviously not exactly known to them, so they can go off the critical reception/buzz to calculate.

They've added the complete series (I guess it would be the whole series since it's not continuing) on Netflix. Should I watch it? I watched the first episode when the posted it online before the premier and I did enjoy it.

only if camelot had the same production value as game of thrones it would have survived. does anybody have any idea when merlin returns?

Bob have you managed to track down a good version of the Merlin blooper reel? The only one I found was filmed badly by a hand-held at an angle to the screen and is too annoying to watch.

Possibly. There was one they only showed at the wrap party. However those ones were quite funny, so well done that man.

I love merlin dvd's and all the special features. I can't believe the way camelot ended and not get picked up for a second season.

Merlin's been running for years. It's a crowd pleaser so the Beeb aren't likely to pull it any time soon, especially since Robin Hood went banana shaped when the star of the show left.

That's not quite true. Apparently series 5 is a planned end of Merlin. Robin Hood was actually planned to be relaunched, they'd brought in a new show runner to reshape it for a new series but they then pulled it after they had asked for plans for the next series.

I hope not merlin is a fantastic series. I liked robin hood as well.
all so liked russel crows robin hood as well. need more fantasy.
