camelot vs merlin

Apparently Merlin has always been planned to have 5 series.

I can see the logic behind that. Ending when it's really popular is always the best way to go. It frees up their big budget pot for the next big thing. It had better not be vampires though.

Was going to be Pirates, but I think Scrimshaw Pirates fell through and then was going to be super heroes but Powers fell through too.

I like being human on bbc great show. so if they do another vampire series it'll be awesome.

Yeah, as much as I love Vampires, we have plenty on TV right now. I'd like to think the BBC or whoever would be able to come up with something more original.

The vampire has left Being Human so it'll be interesting to see who (if anyone) they bring in to replace him.

Yeah, but the introduced a big storyline with vampires, and the kid vampire is coming back for at least 1 episode, wouldn't surprise me if it was all episodes.

He was the best vampire ever.

I totally agree, with that. I don't like the american version at all.

Being Human sort of split itself by having the two separate versions. And frankly, I remember when you couldn't get a vampire show on tv to save one life! Outside of Forever Knight and Dark Shadows, not many ran more than a few years, if that long. Kolchak was only 2 years and the movies right? Dracula The Series, Kindred the Embraced, Blood Ties, Moonlight. What did these shows do any different than the craziness of today? They appealed to adults, was that their only fault? I liked it better when vampires were obscure.

Weren't they supposed to be bringing in a zombie somewhere? I haven't actually seen the show, but I do remember reading that on one of the entertainment/sci-fi sites.

They had a zombie one episode in S3. She started out the most revolting, annoying cow you can imagine and by the end they had successfully turned her into a very tragic figure. Clever scriptwriting.

Zombies with a Being Human twist, I think they said there's going to be another supernatural creature in the next series too.

Maybe witches or wizards? I haven't heard anything, so that's purely a guess based on what hasn't been done yet.
