Californication up to Season 3 (Spoilers)

So i rarely see a thread here about one of the currently best shows i know about and religiously watch.

I simply adore it.. it is one of the very few shows that constantly make me laugh hard, get horny, sometimes a bit sad but overall very entertained.

I love how it is "Sex and the City" for men.. and that it goes beyond all decency and politeness to show stuff that gives heart attacks to every stuck up prude around the world.

Duchovny is gold in that role.. i always knew that he was funny but X Files didn't really need that so it was reserved for the few movies and Californication.

Season 3 so far is shaping up great.. lots of laugh moments and the sexyness factor has been really amped up (don't care much for the face of that stripper girl/student but man does her body rock!). About the only thing i can criticize is that Moodys behaviour is inconsistent with the season 2 finale when it lead us to believe his womanizing days are over because he finally settled down and refocused his life.

I'm definitely enjoying S3 more then S2. With the exception of Ashby, I didn't really care much for S2. S3 has been a lot of fun though. It hope the return of you-know-who from this week's ep doesn't make the show less fun.

EDIT: Oh yeah, a bit of trivia. The student/stripper is played by Eva Amurri who is Susan Sarandon's daughter.

Never got around to watching this show, I guess I'll have to check it out

Just make sure to be alone or with people who have no problem with swearing, liberal use of the word "Fuck" in all variations and the act itself the previous word describes :lol:

It is the adult, out of control and male version of SatC.. and i love it!

Californication is awesome. I love the show, all seasons of it.
And I think I heard Duchovny saying last week that he'll be playing Moody for at least 2-3 more seasons.:bolian:

That said Eva Amurri's breasts alone make this season the best so far :p

Season 1 was OK, some good episodes, but a lot of bad.

Season two was simply bad, really bad.

Season 3 had a few good episodes in a row, I hope it continues.

I enjoyed the first season, but the second season was hit or miss for me. I loved Callum Keith Rennie as Lew Ashby, but other than that much of the season wasn't as interesting as the first. There simply wasn't enough of Moody's daughter, who (other than Moody, of course) is the most watchable character on the show.

Trailers make season three look even funnier than the first season, though, so I'll probably be picking up the DVDs when they come out next year.
