Oh, don't get me wrong, I can still shave, I just have to wade through ankle deep water to do it. And I hate it when I can't shave. I've worked hard on this bald, goatee, Ming the Merciless look that I've carefully cultivated!
You take a lot of pride in your facial hair!! I would definitely be shaving my legs in the basement because that’s one thing I can’t do without haha
Regarding my recent basement disaster: - At least it wasn't right before my Chicago trip (which I would probably have had to cancel) - Nor did it occur while I was ON said trip. Imagine coming home to this...
I ate like a piggie all weekend. I’m so excited to start eating healthy tomorrow!!! I hate the way fast food makes me feel. I need to commit to eating more healthy. I really am looking forward to it.
I'm with you. I don't eat fast food very often but the Taco Bell that I had the other day has to have been the worst food that I've had an a long time. How can you mess up a taco?
I have often wondered that. I also wonder how they survive here in Phoenix, where good tacos are practically *everywhere*.
That's a shame, the Popeye's where I live is usually good. I had 3 crunchy tacos at Taco Bell. The taco shells were rancid. I don't know how old they were but they were actually still crunchy (which is I guess the good thing for this thread). They tasted so bad that I couldn't get the horrible taste out of my mouth even after brushing my teeth.
Regarding my recent trip to Kansas City: - Bad: It was HOT.AS.FUCK. I was sweating like a pig and my seats were all in the shade! I must have lost five pounds just walking from the ballpark back to my hotel. - Good: The games were a lot of fun. TON of Yankee fans there. And my upcoming trip to NYC: - Bad: The Grand Hyatt (where I usually stay) shut down again. So they had to cancel my reservation. - Good: Got another hotel, a Marriott on Fifth Ave
NYC sounds like a blast! Hopefully you’ll get some nice weather while you’re there! It’s been pretty hot on the east coast lately. I’m thinking of planning a trip there around Christmas time.
Having a really rough day. Have some personal stuff going on with the family. I’m really lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. Especially my sister. Say a prayer <3
The bad news was that the trip to the coast was cut short because, as a social worker for DSHS she's on call 24-7, so she had to go to work on a Sunday. The good news was that I got to spend any time at all with her after last seeing her back in February 2020 and her children were with her ex, so it was just the two of us; and she made me breakfast in bed for my birthday.
Yesterday we played D&D in person for the first time since COVID-19 started. We're all vaccinated and many hugs were had all around.
I unpacked after my trip and it looks like I lost a lavender polo shirt. But I bought (and was given) some Illinois and ISU shirts, so I kind of came out ahead.
