I haven't seen those glasses at the local Burger King; it seems they only have the Kids Menus. And even they are not advertised at all.

I will have a look for these on wednesday, i may be able to pick some up. i want the enterprise and the kelvin. i doubt there will be a big kelvin model for a long time.

Got my spare Spock glass and also picked up the Spock kids toy. That's enough for me.

But I'll be there at Burger King if they release more Trek stuff when Star Trek 2 comes out. :techman:

Picked up all four glasses. Still reticent about the toy line, though. Not into most of those.

I also buy the four glasses, they are awesome!

I also just love the publicity campaign with the "King"ons ... they put so much energy on the concept, it's great!

If you see them, get the Kids' booklet that is in some of the BK's. The center is a beautiful fold-out poster of Enterprise!

Does anyone know if the 2 or 3 Burger Kings still in Australia will have these glasses? Or will someone else get them?

They are the best byproducts I've ever seen! Fantastic.

Yeah, the glasses are beautiful, and seem to be getting great reviews from folks who have gotten them.

Even my Dad, a 74 year-old who has been a fan since TOS aired, had to have a set!

Yes, they hold liquids well and actually allow the liquid to slide out when you tilt it upward preferably in to your mouth.
 
Any chance the BK glasses might be worth something?

Does anyone think that the BK sets of Trek glasses might be worth something 6 months to a year from now when they can no longer be gotten at your locla BK?

I have about 3-5 sets of them and was wondering if the movie being a hit at the box office might also have a bearing on it.

Or should I just start giving them to kids now? :)

I guess I'm just wondering if I might be able to sell them as a set for around 15-25 bucks a year from now?

From what I was told from a couple BK employees, they basically only got in one shipment, and not that many per shipment. They said once each store was out, they got no replenishment's.

Hopefully that bodes well for these babies being worth a few dollars more than what I paid for them.

I just bought the four pack this morning here in the city...by my house none of the BK's have them and they tell me that they are sold out almost immediately I think they have them here in NYC because there is only 1 sign in the store advertising it...this store is on a corner too w/ plenty of windows and you would not know there is a Trek promotion going on just by walking by...not one sign on the windows....not one....whatever I got my set and I think I'm going to buy another set later for my nephew...Hopefully yeah they'll be worth something someday...not sure about 6 mos. from now, but someday.

Are you guys getting the toys too?

Doubtful. The Star Wars BK glasses from the 70's-80's can be had on ebay pretty cheaply, and these have been made in an era where everything collectible is hoarded.

I bought a set to use, a set to use if I break any of the first set, and a set to store cuz they are nicely done and really not that expensive.

I could care less if I can resell them in future, but if they are someday worth something, woohoo!

Not looking at Trek stuff as an investment (just ask me about all the TNG playmates figures and the couple 'collector's plates' that are gathering dust in a closet somewhere)

They look really cool from what I've seen of them. Does anyone here in the UK know if they're available here? I asked in my local BK, but the guy just looked blankly at me. They did have the poster for the small toy things with kids meals, though I'd prefer the glasses!
