Bujold Vs. Mulgrew

BTW, no offence but you can't just read the relaunch books that you find in the crate.
They all mesh into a whole and with approx. 15 books so far, the story is still unfinished.

Are these part of the lot?

Homecoming, The Farther Shore, Old Wounds, Enemy of my enemy...,Cohesion, Fusion, Distant Shores, Evolution, Full Circle, Unworthy.

The relaunch books are as follows:
1-2) Homecoming - The Farther Shore
3-4) SW: Old Wounds - SW: Enemy of My Enemy
(after this, it is advisable to read BEFORE DISHONOR from the TNG novels)
5) Full Circle
6) Unworthy
7) Children of the Storm
8) The Eternal Tide
9) Protectors
10) Acts of Contrition
11) Atonement
12) A Pocket Full of Lies

Also, of the books you mentioned DISTANT SHORES is my favourite one. It is not part of the relaunch series but a collection of short stories taking place during the TV-show.

Well, thank you! It seems I have some reading to do.:)

We are treading into Lit Forum territory.

If you get the chance read the Trilogy Destiny first after the Spirit Walk books. This deals with where the Borg came from and what happened to them. Voyager is in it a little bit but their side of the story is told in Full Circle. Full Circle would just make more sense if you have that background information.

I really enjoy the re-launch books but I'm more of a 'move on' kind of person. I think I would soon get bored with Voyager forever lost in the Delta Quadrant ALTHOUGH I wouldn't mind stories from the original 23-year timeline.

I have read all of the relaunch books and I have to say I like them much better after Kristen Beyer took over. I love how she captures the characters and I enjoy how she ties up loose ends from the show

Just got done watching "Live Fast And Prosper". I can't help but wonder what Star Trek: Voyager would be like with Janeway's evil twin as Janeway.

It's really hard to know how she would have done from those few clips. Obviously she would have brought different things than Kate Mulgrew did and the character would be different. But who knows if it would have been better or worse.

Indeed, I've seen too many people decide that Mulgrew's overacting was the right way to go for these scenes but Tuvok's remark's about her looking tired falls flat on its face. It's more appropriate as a description of how Bujold looked.

She did indeed look tired.

Personally I didn't care for her in the part but it might have a lot to do with how much I enjoy Kate Mulgrew in the role and how used to seeeing her in the part I am.
