Bubble lights on artificial X-Mas trees?

Usually the lights don't get that hot to do any damage to the tree. Plus, i would assume that the plastic in the tree would have a high enough melting point.
I don't see why not. Just don't put too many strings, and make sure the large bulbs are on the outer branches. Should be fine.
Light bulbs get to like 200, my dad had a bulb light blow up, obviously that was a screwed up one.
I haven't ever seen anyone with a fake tree have bubble lights, bubble lights are awesome. I figured maybe many years ago the plastic was terrible, but in today's age they have that plastic cooking stuff that goes in the oven.
Not too many bulbs?!?! I stick 5-6 strings together.
Well if there is a Christmas tree fire, we'll know. 
Oh don't worry about it. My family has been using bubble lights for like the past 20 years. The lights do get pretty warm, but not hot enough to damage the tree. My tree is made out of thin shards of plastic (or paper, I can't tell), and I've never had a problem. I thought everyone used bubble lights on artificial trees...

I would imagine that bubble lights would be less of a problem than standard Christmas lights because they have the larger bubble separating the hot filament from the tree.
