hmm kind of wonder how a Lucas/Speilberg made Superman movie would have turned out.
And just imagine if they had used John Williams to do the score, too!hmm kind of wonder how a Lucas/Speilberg made Superman movie would have turned out.
Horse shit.Yes, I get that, but it doesn't change the fact that Raiders and Empire, released around the same time, are still awesome movies, whereas the Donnor flicks suck.Oh come on. It was the late 70s/early 80s. It was a different time.
^Um. There is another Superman movie coming out but sadly it won't have Routh. Haven't you heard?
I totally forgot about the boat rescue, but yes, that was well done, I agree.I personally loved the boat rescue moment. I thought it was iconic in every way...the way it was shot, the music, Routh's performance. Love it.
I think if they had a different actress playing Lois, got rid of the kid and re-wrote the so-called "stalker" angle a bit, I think the movie would have been great as is. People might still complain about the lack of action a bit, but I think it would have been much more loved.
^ No problem. There's a thread in this forum discussing it

But if you don't want to wade through 70 pages or so, the gist of it is Zack Snyder directing, Chris Nolan producing/ supervising (with script input), Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois, Michael Shannon as Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent. That's about all that's known for now.
Honestly, though the Spielberg who directed KOTCS was not at all fit for that project, he might well have made a darn good Superman. At least we wouldn't have gotten a soggy, mopey, charm-free movie. KOTCS sucks, but it does have charm. And just imagine if they had used John Williams to do the score, too!hmm kind of wonder how a Lucas/Speilberg made Superman movie would have turned out.

what is the point this poster is trying to illustrate?
But it wasn't a sequel either.
The lifted lines from the Donner movies just made the event very Earth 2.
I think the opinion is universal that, while SR may have had flaws, it's still infinitely better than The Quest for Peace!
