Brooklyn Nine Nine

I assume there’ll be a bad captain for a few episodes then Holt will come back somehow just like when he was transferred to PR.

Wonder if we will be getting a new Captain in each ep?
And I want to see how Kevin is dealing with his husbands demotion.
There was some dialogue about Kevin that I couldn’t make out, even with subtitles on. I hope we do see him again, considering MEJ does host the new official B99 podcast.

Speaking of, Marc Evan Jackson hosted a six-part podcast leading to the start of the new season, with each episode taking a closer look at one season’s own episodes, plus the usual behind the scenes stuff from the cast and crew. It’s produced by the excellent team behind the excellent “The Good Place: The Podcast” podcast and is worth a listen if you’re a fan.

Brooklyn Nine Nine is still good, but it lost a lot when they stopped doing the rapid cutaway jokes. I don't know why whoever took over when the show moved to NBC doesn't like them.

I’ve been enjoying this season more than the last though. I really liked last week’s episode.

They've mentioned on the podcast that they have even less screen time on NBC than they did on FOX and with less episodes, I think they are just trying to move the plot forward.

But on the other hand I believe they can swear on NBC, they just get bleeped; on FOX they had to avoid it altogether.

Anyone here watched the last season?
I enjoyed it but think it was time to end.
Though it's a shame Kevin wasn't in the last episode.

Perfect finale.

I love the Heist episodes, and we had some good cameos by people from the past ("SURPRISE REVEAL!")

This was a very good show overall, IMHO. Really enjoyed the humor throughout.

Nine Nine!

Watching the season premiere.

Trying wayyyyy too hard to respond to BLM era criticisms. I thought they already found the right balance episodes like the one Terry was accosted by a cop looking for his daughter's blanket.

Feels like a comedy show is being written like a serious drama.

I watched the ending of the show.

Overall, a good ending, giving a solid resolution to all the major storylines. I kinda wish Boyle had won the last heist just cause he's the only competent character never to win. The whole Hitchcock reveal making the whole thing seem silly was intentional following the idea of running the heist forever even though only Terry and Charles still work there worked well to give the idea "Even though they moved on the idea goes on forever".

I'm not sure how I feel about the last season's political focus. Yeah, those are important things that should be said, but why is comedy doing the job of dramas?
