Una writing about Cardassians is ALWAYS good!!! And strangly enough, I'm looking forward to more Aventine. I was not a big fan of TrekLit Ezri, and the Aventine crew, but I've been rereading Destiny and A Singular Destiny, and they're growing on me.
This sounds excellent although the line "the Cardassian delegates don't seem particularly keen on using diplomacy to resolve the situation" makes he wonder if Garak is actually in this.
That sounds very interesting. I'm actually impressed by just how weighty that description is - an interesting setup politically, confirmation on the Cardassians being present (yay!), the Tzenkethi apparently playing a large role (they're one of the most interesting adversaries we've had in a while), and the Ferengi potentially involved. I guess we needed a Cardassian/Ferengi book next, to see how the expanded Khitomer Accords are working out. And the description even gives us notice on several characters who will supposedly be appearing. All of this appeals to me, so I hope the description is fully accurate.
I'm so pumped, I can't even tell you. With only a brief blip for Martin, who I'm not such a fan of, we get Christopher, DRG3, Beyer, McCormack, and Mack in a row. It's brilliant.
Ohhh, the Aventine, Cardassians, Ferengi - I love it!!
Only I'm not looking forward to September. September is closer to December & after this weak winter we just had in MN I'm hoping December 2012 doesn't bring The Wrath of Old Man Winter.
The Enterprise crew is featuring in all 3 TP this year, I wish this was featuring on the Aventine solely or maybe have the Robinson doing the Enterprise role
The description makes it sound a bit like the Cuban Missile Crisis for the 24th century... I like.
I hope Ms. McCormack reads these threads from time to time so that she sees how much her writing is appreciated. It's really nice to go through a whole page of comments where literally everyone is saying positive things about an idea. (Particularly nice on a Star Trek board... )
