Certainly looks impressive. How long did you work on it?

It looks good. I like that you fixed Picard’s weird uniform as well (and added a commbadge I think?)

I'm glad someone noticed. The uniform part was much more difficult than expected. And I had to add a commbadge indeed.

Absolutely. But Picard's was not visible because it was too low. And when I raised the black shoulder part I had to raise the commbadge aswell.

Yes, you did a better job than they did.

And it was worth the effort.

    Well done. Thanks.

    True.

New fans are just as deserving of much better than they're getting as long-time fans are. Just because they'll settle doesn't mean they should have to.

Well I can see why they screwed up spiners Hairline and head size. First they put an awful hairpiece on him and really didnt correct it. Second they just de-aged his face without removing the fat...WTH???? I'm still amazed it passed muster and they released this garbage...smh...

Agreed. Plus, if you de-age Data too far, such as in the comparison video, he starts to look younger than he did in the later films. In addition, the powers that be were filming an entire show; who knows how much time and money they had just for the limited scenes featuring Data. Is it perfect, no, but in context the Data scenes worked just fine for me.

Exactly. There are several factors at play, and it needs to be good enough to sell the story.

I appreciate the efforts by fans but its putting perfection ahead of story.

You are giving the production excuses. They had plenty of time and money to get it right. Datas look was abysmal and fans did a better job of giving him a proper look.

They did? Based upon what? Productions don't exist in a vacuum. They have deadlines, schedules and limits. CGI is often outsourced to independent houses who have their own production schedules. All of which costs money to do. So, please, tell me of this magic amount of time they supposedly have to do it perfectly? Because I'll bet that they didn't have as much time as armchair executive producers seem to think.
