I entered, but my concern is what my parents would think if I won since I didn't tell them I entered. How would I explain it to them?

Then again, it's like a gazillion people. Very slim chance.

Why would your folks care?

And actually, you would be surprised I think at the entry numbers. Average number is usually about 100. Sometimes, like for Avery Brooks, we got 150. But normally? 100-120. I don't know why. I guess I need to advertise more.

Re: Brent Spiner as Lt. Cmdr. Data Autograph Contest for Jun

Because entering the contest PROVES that I really really like Star Trek (and in this case in particular, it proves that I really like Data). Mom has usually been somewhat negative towards the things I like, saying I'm obsessed. She hasn't really said anything negative about me liking Star Trek yet, but I feel awkward whenever I mention it to her, like she'll react negatively like she did whenever I talked about Pokemon or Harry Potter. At least this is a big step up on the maturity scale.

Yes. Quite.

What worked for me with being obsessed with Star Trek and people thinking ... well this graemlin sums it up: :wtf: was what my 7th grade english teacher said in my defense to some class mates: "Hey, at least he's obsessed with something possitive. It could be worse. He could be on drugs."
