Good work guys.
That was fun.
There's just one question left for me:
Can someone confirm what Proconsul Claudius Marcus shouts to his stormtroopers when he orders them to attack Kirk and company in their prison cell? I've never been able to make it out.
This transcription thread quotes Proconsul as shouting "Swords only!" I'm not doubting that; I would just appreciate confirmation.
The scene after that where Captain Merrick whips out a Starfleet communicator and calls for help, to be fittingly stabbed in the back, and then tosses the talkie into the cell to save Kirk's bacon, is one of my all-time favorites. This ep is seriously underrated. It puts the "classic" in "classic STAR TREK".
This episode has the distinction of being played the least in my market when I was a child. I grew up on reruns of Star Trek. But for every one time that I saw this episode, I saw all of the others probably five or six times. Weird.
Yes, he says "Swords only!" Checked the episode to make sure.
That line always bugged me.
Oh, you're done? Serves me right for not coming in here for 4 straight days...
Don't feel too bad, Alienesse, I'm in the same boat on this one.
I guess we'll have to wait for the next one. Fortunately, there are plenty of episodes to go.
^^^Assuming anyone gets in here to start it! lol!!
Sorry for my slowness, been crazy busy the last few weeks. Just sent the list off to CoveTom.
Receipt of list acknowledged. Standby...
awesome. Its kept me entertained during some night shifts. Weird thing as you read you can imagine the episode as you go. :-)
Regarding this moment:
I'm surprised, with the wacky senses of humor we've got in this mad group of transcribers, that someone didn't post the following:
Kirk: Stand back. (Shatner is picked up and ran back across the set by Ted Cassidy)
Shatner: Hey! I don't know about you, but this is not the way it should work! I want you to know!!
Hey, LeadHead, I'm quite tied up with something right now. Instead of you all getting tired of waiting and deciding to go on with out me, can I just officially hand this one off to you and have you take care of the proceedings to choose a new chooser and start the next thread?
No prob! Here we go!
The participants from our current thread are as follows:
5. Admiral Shran
7. Captain Robert April
Those names should be in the order in which each person first posted to the thread. No "weight" is given for who posted more or less often.
(If anyone has been inadvertently left off the list of participants, please let me know, I made the list and would like to know if I blew it, also so we can make it up to you in the future if possible)
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for, random.org loading now....
So, Vanyel, the next move is yours. Would you like to select the next episode we are going to do line-by-line? You are free to select the next episode or pass and I will re-run the randomization. You can pick any episode from any of the Trek series that you like. For reference, the ones we've done so far, ordered by series, are:

Once a new episode has been chosen, I will fire up the next line-by-line thread in the appropriate forum and post the link here.
NOTE: As has been agreed, when a person is selected as the "chooser," they will have 48 hours to post their selection. After 48 hours, I will assume they "pass" and will re-run the randomization.
I'll take it. I'll let u know sometime tomorrow hat I want to pick.
Choose wisely, Vanyel!
