Perhaps. This whole story is very bizarre. My instincts say he wasn't in the balloon. More likely he let it loose and then ran off to hide. For a small child to be able to untether it whilst sitting in it, would say something about how/where it was tethered. In my imagination that looks unlikely.
Another clever way for the current Administration to divert the attention of the US Public.![]()
Well, it would be an interesting way of the current administration to divert attention, since CNN broke away from a live presidential speech to cover this story.
See...SEE?!?!?!?
How about it probably took him a minute to realize that's what his brother was doing and then it dawned on him to tell the parents.I'm mostly thinking of a body crashing into the ground. I mean, sure, if nobody's around to see it happen, it would be hard to find. But you have to think that a lot of people are watching this and looking out for the kid.^, Actually not really. The size and glare of a six year old may go un-noticed even if it occured right next to you.
The brain may simply block it out, saying to itself, thats not right and not register it.
At this point, if he did fall, he's pretty damn dead (and possibly not even recognizable). This is just nuts.
Well recongnizable until the cyotes come, and thats the grime reality.
I hope for everyone that he is just hidding, but who knows maybe he wanted to escape from his family and the plan went bad.
As a father this qoute makes me mad : "Police say the family's two boys were playing outside with the rest of the family inside the house. One son watched his little brother go inside the compartment and watched it take off."
How about you tell me hes un-mouring the damn thing before he gets in if your watching it. Now the family is wrecked and the other brother has to live with the fact we watched as his brother died.
Upset???I'm going to be very upset if the kid was in his room the whole time.

He'd be probably thinking about all the chaos he'd just caused. Assuming of course he never left the ground in the first place - if the parents found out this is what really happened, then someone's going to be grounded for a while (pun definitely NOT intended).I'm going to be very upset if the kid was in his room the whole time.
I definitely want him to be safe and sound, don't get me wrong. I just kind of want him to be some evil mastermind who set everybody up. I mean, that would be pretty damn impressive for a 6-year old.Upset???I'm going to be very upset if the kid was in his room the whole time.Seems to me that's EXACTLY where we want to find him - preferably under his bed safe and sound.
Think before you type. Please.I'm going to be very upset if the kid was in his room the whole time.

See...SEE?!?!?!?You may be on to something!
So it looks like the kid was never aboard. Rough calculation from CNN say not very likely this amount of helium could even lift 50/60 pounds, thank the godz!
Yeah, I definitely should have worded that differently.Think before you type. Please.I'm going to be very upset if the kid was in his room the whole time.
