box office

I watched this in 'theaters' today and it was good. Anyway, I think this movie will fail at the box office. But just like John Wick 4 made 200 million dollars on DVD and Blu-ray, it will make a great profit on DVD and Blu-ray and they will make a second movie with a low budget of 45 million dollars. I think it will do a box office similar to John Wick 2's.

You sure about that?

Lionsgate announced it themselves. I think they made $200 million in profit on DVD and Blu-ray by the end of 2023. I don't know if it's just John Wick or if there are other movies they've released as well?

For me, it has to be a very special event to get me to the movie theater. I think now that most people have screens bigger than 50”, it is becoming common to wait for a movie to come home, where we spend a far smaller amount of money and have a pause button to boot.

That's the best Ballet pun they could manage? I weep for Entertainment journalism. ;)

The DVD thing ended in Türkiye at the end of the 2000s. The Blu-ray thing didn't become widespread in our country either. In the 2010s, a lot of movies came on DVD and Blu-ray. But they didn't even put subtitles and dubbing because they knew they wouldn't sell. But I know there's a market in the US.

If there is no second movie, I think they will solve the open issue in John Wick 5. It is stated that the budget of the Caine movie will exceed 45 million dollars.

The budget for spin-offs should not exceed $45 million and they should not be broadcast during the busy summer months.
