Yeah, no.
If we look at the budgets and consider that 'theaters' take 50% of the box office and the advertising budget is 100 million dollars, there are 7 flops and 6 good box office films here.

Not rooting for Superman to fail, just don't like the slide.I doubt it. Though I love watching folks rooting for failure.
See what I mean?$100 to $125 million is a major slide from what the previous two films did when they opened.
We'll see.

And closed captions. Can't enjoy TV or theaters otherwise. For me, it has to be a very special event to get me to the movie theater. I think now that most people have screens bigger than 50”, it is becoming common to wait for a movie to come home, where we spend a far smaller amount of money and have a pause button to boot.
Agreed. I use closed captions for everything. However, I do still hit the theaters for movies that I absolutely want to avoid spoilers on. I may not catch everything said, but I can still follow the story well enough for the most part. That way I feel safe going on the internet the next day.And closed captions. The last movie I visited the theater to see was 'Apollo 11' in 2019 That theater had the Sony / Regal caption glasses. Not all, or even half, do. It was a two hour trip each way past about five theaters that didn't use those. No movie made recently inspires me to repeat that round-trip. Not when I can just select the app and then watch on my 50" & sound bar with affordable snacks.
