Boston Legal - WTF?

Thanks, bluedana and HopefulRomantic! I watched both. ;

(I had checked on Wednesday for any clips, but I guess that was too early. Still mad at my TiVo. Bad TiVo! I know it's absolutely crushed at the moment by my silent treatment.)

Now, am I correct in the Trek Today story from yesterday that Scott will indeed be coming back this season? I just hope BL is renewed so he has more opportunities to do so. The way the main cast is overturned on that show, he very well could become a main cast memeber! I'd love to see him go against Denny Crane.

Wow...if only!!

Unfortunately, no, as far as anyone knows, Scott has not yet been asked bak for this season (it would be tough anyway with Scott scheduled to open in the world premiere of "Dancing in the Dark" in San Diego next month. Where would he find the time?)

Of course, if the show does get renewed (my fingers are crossed), then I can definitely see "Jack" popping in, again. The electricity and chemistry were off the charts and the writers (usually very astute) would have to have had their heads in the sand not to have noticed!

That's how they were in Murphy Brown too. Peter Hunt (Bakula) was the best love interest Murphy ever had, imo. He matched her in every way and it was great.

Peter Hunt was a big of an egotist. I get the feeling Jack Ross is sweeter. He's the environmental lawyer.

Totally ENT references aside -- Alan Shore is one of my favorite characters, and they've turned him less lovable and like a Denny Crane Jr. Denny Crane is a great character, but just one is good enough. Alan hasn't taken on a hopeless cause case in a while, and that always seemed to be his signature.

Ugh. Television closing arguments (openings are statements, closings are arguments) are like nails on a chalkboard to me. Oddly enough, I thought Alan's closing was terrible (it was a rant, not a legal argument), and Jack Ross' (as written and as delivered) was better, because it used facts. Had the judge not been a clown, that injunction would never have been granted.

Here's where you say: But, bluedana, it's just a show. And I reply, Precisely. A show I don't watch for exactly that reason.

Probably the best closing I have ever seen on TV was Alan's in the last episode of Season 1, when he was trying to prevent the execution of a man in Texas. My heart was pounding. It was sensationally written and delivered.

I thought he was really good in this episode. It was nice seeing Bakula on television again, and he looked very comfortable in the role. Great singer too.
