"Boston Legal" Saved, Yet Ending

The good with the bad.
In reality though did not most, at least around here, suspect a fifth season would likely be its last?
I guess the ultimate shot to the ribs is that its only 13 eps and not 22.

While I am sad to see it go, I knew it the end was coming. The show, while still good, has lost it's direction. I'm hoping that the last 13 will be given the attention they deserve.

I'm very curious to see how they will wrap things up with the Alan & Denny storyline.

Well it will end on 101 episodes and I will miss the show afterwards but its been a goodride and ABC will find out how much they miss it when all the shows after it can't break 10million.

I'm glad it is renewed and I don't have a problem with it wrapping up with thirteen episodes. Frankly, I think it is a good thing. Shows go on past their prime too often and end up being a shadow of their former selves. Also I watch so many tv shows that I have a hard time watching them all without getting behind so seeing shows like Reaper or Boston Legal or Lost or BSG etc getting 13-16 episode seasons is fine with me as the networks alternate programming.

^ Yeah...I really doubt they can replace it with anything much better.

Likely the show is fairly expensive due to at least 3 or 4 pretty high salaries...but still, ABC had a winner there. :(

Even though season 4 has been a bit hit and miss for me i will be sorry to see it go hope Danny and Alan go in style.

Well with this series high cast turnover the only characters they really need to give closure to are Alan, Denny and Shirley. The rest are pretty disposable even if there are a few I enjoy.

I'd love for them to do the Murphy Brown secretary thing and have completely different associates for each of the final 13 episodes.

Some last chances for more Trek alumni, perhaps?

Just looked at ABC's 2008/2009 lineup.

The 5th and final season will go up against CSI Miami & A yet unknown NBC show plus midseason show Medium but then again will all 13 episodes be done before then ?

^^^
Ratings are moot at this point, henc its competition doesn't matter.
If ABC cared then they wouldn't place it there.

Dead Show Airing.

I know but still I would like the show to get a good audience to see the end, it deserves it. I can tell you now ELI STONE will fail at 10pm and ABC will struggle for years IMO to find a show that does 10 million+ at TUESDAYS 10PM

I'm glad the show will get a finale. I adore Boston Legal. Haven't seen season four yet (I'll get it on DVD), but I look forward to seeing it. Glad there will be 13 more episodes for me to see somewhere down the line as well.

I'd like it to go one forever, but, realistically, pickers can't be choosers. Five seasons is a good run.

Between the cancellation of Moonlight and Shark, today is truly not a good day for me. :( Boston Legal is few of the fun shows left on TV at this time. Why are the studios hell bent on destroying what is good and feed us even more crap?

Looks like Saffron Burrows will be leaving for a new series on NBC. She was better than some of the revolving door of associates we've had, but after she and Alan stopped getting it on in elevators, her character seemed to go nowhere.

Seems the salvation of "Boston Legal" is only a semi-salvation. They'll be back in the fall, but only for a final 13 episode season. :(

BOSTON LEGAL is my favorite show on TV. Not just because of Shatner but because of the writing, and Alan's closings. But the time for the show to end has come..

Now..I remember reading a few years back that David Kelley had the final scene in his head already...Denny dies....This time I hope if they kill of Shatner's character they give him a death scene worthy for both him and Spader..

By the way..I actually prefer Denny to Captain Kirk. I think Shatner hit a gold mine with this character..Denny was funny and serious where as most the time Kirk was just heroic...

DENNY CRANE!!!

I only wish ER wasn't ending. I'd love it if Shatner could have done a stint on ER. Sadly that is ending as well.
