Viacom? They don’t exist anymore. Not with the amount of people (execs and lawyers) something like the black badges and Section 31 would need to go through in order to be approved. I'm sure Viacom had to give an okay too.
They haven’t since 2006

Nothing implies she thought thatI wonder why Georgiou only thinks humans can be Federation members.
Really? We were all expected to roll over and accept the new Klingons with their phony D-7s as a "retcon" and "visuals aren't canon." And now a Section 31 is using badges and you're crying fowl? Practice what you preach. Not yet
The enterprise was planned since nearly the beginningI wonder if this was meant to be the last scene of the final episode before they decided to do the Enterprise one. It even has a musical score, and a nice one too. I also noticed that the Clint Howard character appears at the beginning of this scene, seems to be still high.
We don’t know if this scene is canon, and there is still 100+ years out from DS9 to explain itReally? Source? It's a bonus scene that's canon, and part of a Season 2 announcement that Section 31, new character Leland and presumably Mirror Georgiou are part of Season 2.
There was a female trill in the episode getting a tattooI liked this scene because we actually see a Trill. They finally referenced something from DS9 that wasn't section 31.
Not according to David Mack's novel. In his acknowledgements at the end he says he was requested by Fuller himself to use the Enterprise in the novel, as there were no plans for it in the show. The enterprise was planned since nearly the beginning
What the actual fuck? We know the Leland character is part of season 2's cast, and it is confirmed season 2 is going to feature Section 31. How much more does it take to make this scene canon? Are you really going to spin the gears of denial this hard in response to a plot development you don't like after spending the entire first season telling everyone visuals don't count as long as the lore is respected? Because, guess what, the lore is being respected in this case. Section 31 is being presented as a shadowy secret organization with no morals. The fact they now wear black badges is just a visual, and you yourself had already stated visuals are not canon. Also, retcons are apparently immutable law around these parts anyway, so this is a retcon. We don’t know if this scene is canon, and there is still 100+ years out from DS9 to explain it
You make them sound so awesome.S31 suck, they're completely antithetical to everything the Federation stands for and pretty much ruin the concept that the Federation are an evolved society,
I didn’t see that news until after I made that postWhat the actual fuck? We know the Leland character is part of season 2's cast, and it is confirmed season 2 is going to feature Section 31
I said nearly not at.Not according to David Mack's novel. In his acknowledgements at the end he says he was requested by Fuller himself to use the Enterprise in the novel, as there were no plans for it in the show.
Still doesn't really explain what the Black Badges we saw on the ship were doing. "Look menacing as the convicts walk by, then disappear until next year."If section 31 was willing to recruit someone from the mirror universe, what are the chances that mirror Lorca was also recruited by them as well.
That’s more then visual. As it makes them visual. The fact they now wear black badges is just a visual,
