I haven't seen the movie, but I very much like the novel. "Old Tennis Shoes" was what the "boys" in the story called Old Tennessee, a brand of whiskey they favored when they could scratch together enough coin to afford it.I don't think so...I'm not familiar with either the movie or the Steinbeck novel but a search of "tenuous shoes" on Google brought up 3 hits and one was actually a misspellt "tennis".![]()
DOCTOR: "Oh! Why d'you have to stop it at the best bit? I was rather enjoying that. "
VALEYARD: "I'm sure you were."
DOCTOR: "Clever, eh? That trick with the sombrero. "
VALEYARD: (sarcastically.) "Most ingenious, my dear Doctor."
In honor of Senor Montalban, here a photo of him wearing a sombrero and holding a rooster. You will be missed.
