Blue Warp Nacelles?

What significance if any does the colour of the Warp Nacelles hold in Treknology? Much like some of the other issues people have with the new Trek look, it seems to be a minor quibble that will not really effect our enjoyment of the film. I really doubt J.J. and his crew would pick such and outlandish colour as hotpink, so as long as its something reasonable we have nothing to fear.
Well, Cadet Inquisitive... WELCOME to Blue Nacelles! This is the place where we have fun until the new movie actually comes out.
Once upon a time in olden days, some people decided to have fun with all the outlandish demands people were insisting JJ Abrams MUST HAVE in his new enterprise. When some poor soul asked, "Should the new Enterprise have blue nacelles?" we received not only the usual answers, but new demands... nay outlandish demands... were created by the fun-loving members of TrekBBS and a new era was born (with pictures no less)!!
McCoy: Sorry, Spock, but you were no where to be found when we beamed down to the taco shop. Too bad, they were giving out free sombreros!
Kirk: "Mister Spock! That's not where your supposed to wear a Sombrero!".

Yeah I finally got time to sit down with Photoshop and work it out myself. I am mostly pleased with it (although I am sure there are people who would be more meticulous than me).
