Blue Warp Nacelles?

no-no... not polite to ask a lady her age ;):rommie:
But you're right. My daughter is turning 21 this week.
BUT.... Scott Bakula is still older than me.:p

The images are awesone! Thanks for sharing them, Bak. :)

I think I'd kill for that Gorn figure!

No offense, Bak and Blue, but your daughter looks like a big green ugly lizard.

Hehheh, you should see me in the morning!

Nice!

And much props for wearing the sombreros! I wore mine for all five days of the Comic-Con in San Diego. It feels kinda comfortable after a while.

I'll tell you what Sam, I was wearing it and some older lady came up to me and said, rather nastily, "aren't you taking that a little too far?"
WTF?
But it didn't deter me in the least.:rommie:

Yeah, taking what a little too far? Did she even know about the Sombreroprise? And if not, what did she think you were doing?

I was actually hit on a ridiculous number of times while wearing the sombrero, to the point where I asked my sombrero-wearing friend, "What the hell is going on?" A lot of very cute/hot females were magically drawn to the sombreros.

But who cares why, really? I've currently got three sombreros in the trunk of my car, and I've been manufacturing any old reason to wear them at other events, as well. The results have been overwhelmingly positive.

And at the Comic-Con, I (and often my other sombrero-wearing friends) were given special attention; were constantly asked if people could take their photos with us; were given additional free shwag just because we were wearing sombreros; and were even interviewed by Spanish television station Telemundo (and in Spanish, no less!). I also narrowly avoided being interviewed by Triumph the Insult Comic Comic Dog. (That's a little more publicity than I was looking for at the moment.)

And again, getting hit on constantly by women was really the only reason I ever needed.

So those of you who chickened out, you really missed out.

Long live the sombreros! Wear them early and often! Vive el Viaje a las Estrellas! :techman:

LOL. You go Sam.
I guess I'm glad I was wearing the sombrero and not my husband.
As a matter of fact I did get hit on by some old dealer guy.... not quite the same as cute hot chicks but hey...
Yeah, you missed out all you weanies at the convention (not referring to you folks that didn't go) Viva Sombreroprise!

You were wearing that big blue one, right??

We called out to you and you ignored us!!

I will never wear a sombrero again.

Oh jeez, well there you go. You should have come over and kicked my ass.:guffaw:
But don't let my deaf-dumb and blindness keep you from Sombrerogoodness.

Hardly.. I've only just begun.

Allow me to present:

SOMBRERO TRIBBLE!!!

If anyone is interested in seeing the rest of my vegas pictures, they are here: http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y189/floridamo/2008 Star Trek Vegas Convention/

Awesome! Way to go, Bak! I love the skant picture :techman:

EDIT: Btw, everybody, thanks for all the fish. It's been awhile since I had a chance to post in here and I enjoyed catching up. The only thing I'm going to specifically mention is that I loved the INS avatar parody. Partly because mine shows up all three times. Thanks.

Wear one in court. Then I'll respect you. :p

What? You bastard!

^ Yeah, really! Why didn't you take the bait, Sam? They would have tried to make fun of you and your explanation would have completely confounded them. As well as raise important Sombreroprize awareness within the target demographic.

Someone else can make a joke about what that target demographic might be.
