Put her and Judy Jetson in a cartoon hot tub with an Inspector Gadget device and I'm happy.
Hate to break it to ya. But there is no air in space, so panels popping out would not slow them down because they wouldn't be pushing against anything. lol. That would be useful if they were entering an atmosphere though.

Oh, yes. We're completely serious about those and have hard scientific evidence to support the theoretical whatsit behind them.

Since this topic isn't quite a good fit for the forum all on its own, rather than close it or shuttle it off to another forum, what I'll do is merge your thread with the "Blue Warp Nacelles?" thread, where we've had a lot of Photoshoppery related (however tenuously) to the movie. I think this will be right at home there.
