Black and white version of Deep Breath has leaked

Will have to watch that one tonight, saw it up on the torrents, its got a few seeders.

Probably not. The image of the server directory only had 1-5 if I recall correctly.

ADDED:

Nope, I went back and checked, it did have 1-6.
I'll bet whoever got to that server downloaded everything there.

Looks like the finished episode is getting good reviews. However this might be a case of critic disconnect with the audience see Revenge of the Sith or Star Trek Into Darkness: Loved by critics hated by fans

Pink and Clara do NOT work at all. I know I said it before, but after seeing ep4 (and 5), it's even more apparent.

I'm not sure Deep Breath is hated/disliked by fans. In fact, I'd say its well-liked, to a point. Its the rest of the leaked eps that get a bad rep, as I read here.

And anyway, I liked ROTS, but hated ID, so I'll wait to see what happens. :)

Episode 4 was the first one I thought was outright bad. It just felt like a waste of 45 minutes, and

The Clara/Danny segments were especially bad. He's bland, and she was being a jerk for some reason. I also wasn't a fan of her interacting with the young Doctor

Episode 5 was much better, and it might have been my favorite episode so far. I thought the story was good with an interesting hook, and the neding was good.

I liked the three episodes, but its not like they're going to be tremendously different when they're complete. If someone didn't like the story from what they see in the B&W cuts, they aren't going to like it when they're complete. I'm sure they'll be improved, but from a story/acting perspective its not like someone who thinks the stories/performances are weak is going to get their mind changed by color and complete music/special effects, unless some of the actors are getting completely redubbed by someone else in the final product

ADR could still happen. Sound mixing could still be happening. Final editing could still be happening. AND, yes, the final score. All of those have an affect on how we feel about a performance.

Think about the attack on the Death Star in Star Wars. One with the Williams score and one with the theme music from Benny Hill. Same performances, but we're going to feel very differently.

And with final editing, a story's pacing could change, a performance can sharpen.

So, again, I disagree. You are seeing a rough edit, something that isn't meant to be seen, let alone be judged, by a general audience.

After seeing the final version, it did not effect or change my view of Capaldi's performance at all. Sure, it was nice to have Gold's soundtrack to spice things up but still the same performances as I saw in the leaked version.

Seesh, episode 4 is C.R.E.E.P.Y. I don't know if its the black and white, but its the only episode of nuWho that's ever made me feel this way. And I still haven't gotten to the end.

Episode 4 is very stage, will have to see how the final version comes out, but its a bit all over the place.
