I finally got the chance to watch it today and I absolutely loved it. It's the most absurd, wonderful, off-the-walls, liberating, bonkers, righteous, ridiculous, fun adventure. Nothing quite like it before, certainly not within the superhero genre. More of this and less of the rest of the DC fare (Wonder Woman and Shazam aside), please.

Maybe it's me reading too much into the moment, but Harley's dream of her performing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" reminded me of Moulin Rogue! because the way she sang it was very similar to Nicole Kidman. Plus, the presence of Ewan McGregor. Again, I'm probably reading too much into the moment, but it stood out nonetheless.

Almost gave this one a miss but I was at a loose end today and so went to see it. It’s good fun. Nothing special or outstanding but certainly has its own style & aesthetic.

Robbie really owns that role and gives it her all. Mary Elizabeth did her best with an underwritten role and I’ve always liked Rosie Perez. The others were fine, especially Jernee, but not especially memorable.

I like Ewan McGregor a lot but his character was irritating more than menacing or scary, Chris Messina’s Zsaz standing out more.

It’s unlikely to win many new fans to the DCEU but it is a fun addition to that universe.

It was kind of interesting that the movie didn't glorify Black Mask much. He was just a toxic asshole that the audience wasn't meant to like. I found the scene where he made the woman dance on the table really uncomfortable which is the point but it was effective.

Illness killed our plans to see this earlier. Finally got to see it last night. Enjoyed it a lot. Fun ride with good pacing and music. All the actors did well in their various roles. Loved the fact that this wasn’t about the end of the world, but control of a simple diamond.

Definite B+, will probably go up a bit on a second viewing.

Folks who haven’t taken time to see this are missing out.
