Overreacting much?
To be fair, I've been trying to forget it too.The mention of the Cyberking seems to be a knowing nod to the often raised question of why history never recorded a giant Cyberman lumbering around London.
I had pretty much wipe that part of The Next Doctor from my mind.Do you know of ANYONE who wants to remember the Cyberking? I would say the toy companies, but even they didn't release it...To be fair, I've been trying to forget it too.The mention of the Cyberking seems to be a knowing nod to the often raised question of why history never recorded a giant Cyberman lumbering around London.
Well from memory when the ships appear in the sky everyone in Leadsworth gathers in the park or whatever and reaches up with their cell phones (mobiles I guess you guys in the UK call them eh?) and start taking pictures of them and what not. It's not really made clear from the scene the reactions of the humans IMO. I'll have to go back and watch myself just to be sure but I'm pretty sure that was how it played out.
So guess I'm the only one who didn't mind the Cyberking then? Awwww.![]()
"The Next Doctor": Gone
"The Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End": Gone
"Army Of Ghosts"/"Doomsday": Gone
And I'm going to guess that all the other RTD stories that involved people in the Present knowing about aliens are gone too.

Haven't seen it yet, but THANK GOD. Those were the WORST episodes, the absolute worst of New Who.

WE CAN ONLY HOPE!
How fucking tired was it that every single year a massive alien invasion would wipe out half the planet, and then everyone would go back to normal the next day. I grew so fucking weary of random people on the street in present day making offhand comments about cybermen and daleks. Ugh.
Wipe that crap clean away and pretend that it never happened.
So tonight Moffat wielded the biggest Reset Button in SF history; wiping out basically as much of Doctor Who's history as he wants to.

What an arrogant fuck you are Moffat. It's not like what you're doing is better than what you've gotten rid of.
But hey, at least we now know why Henry Van Statten didn't know what a Dalek was!
it only mentioned Stolen Earth/Journey's End and Next Doctor.
