Big Brother Season 26 (2024) / Survivor Season 47 (2024)

Dick would have been removed for the cigarette thing but nobody's ever been removed for being mean. As long as there's no racial epithets and no violence and no destruction of equipment. But I think Aaryn would have been removed for all that "You got me saying Axe" business.

I'm glad I didn't watch the special last night. A recap episode four weeks in, and I googled after and they didn't even tell you what the twist was, just what it was called.

OMFG, she's the BB equivalent of Clara in Doctor Who. SHE JUST KEEPS COMING BACK. :scream:

It was cute seeing her reaction to the Deepfake nominations, though.

I really dislike Tucker.

And apparently there's some sort of panel discussion thing going on tomorrow (Tuesday)?
She knew Quinn had the power, why was she shocked? Was she trying to put on a show, but for who?

Why do you dislike Tucker? He has been the majority of the personality this summer. I prefer him to Quinn or any of the "furniture players" (Cam, Leah, Kimo, T'Kor). He's loud and abrasive yes, but I don't find him to be wrong in any of his assessments.

I can't get past how piss poor the CGI Ainsley looks.

Loud and abrasive are what I don't like in reality show contestants. I don't care if he's right or wrong. He's just OBNOXIOUS. Angela is also loud, abrasive, and obnoxious. Those two deserve each other.

I know it's impossible, but I was so sure that they were going to hook up, because she is beyond grateful from being taken off the block.

Unlike some younger women, I'm sure Angela has at least enough intelligence to not actually get physical with anyone there. In an intimate way, that is. I can see her getting angry enough to slap someone or do something nasty to their food if she's spiteful enough.

I wonder if she's going to have a job to go back to. There are more employers these days that don't like their employees giving the company a bad reputation if they go on social media or reality shows and do reprehensible things.

Angela was on a Dr Phil as a bad mother, and a The Price is Right, and a Lets Make a Deal, paranoid conspiracy theorists are labeling her as a CBS Plant.

Her Job is fine.

Angela's employer knows that reality TV is fake, but she had to disable Angela's profile on their website, because it was being review bombed by Big Brother fanatics.

So Angela is probably a fake houseguest (as in recruited, not applied), and her boss is just fine with her being a bitch to everyone.

O-kay...

If she's a stooge, is she allowed to win, and if she accidentally wins, will CBS still give her the prize money?

I don't think she's a plant.

There's too much money on the line.

The other contestants, released while she is still in play, will sue.

But she could be pretending to be a moron, for entertainment value.

Her "crazy eyes" rant was borderline racist. Yes, recruited contestants are eligible for the money just like the others (going by Survivor here).

I don't think Angela is a plant, I think she's a really immature person. I don't see how it's racist. Matt was a macho jerk. He needed a humbling and Angela just went a bit over the line.

I'm not liking the situation now though. I liked all the people in the Collective but now the dominant alliance is all the unlikable people. Tucker is an obnoxious douche, Rubina is this season's Blue. The only thing keeping Tucker in the game is the AI arena heavily favors people who are only good at challenges. I just really hope Tucker somehow goes out soon and we can have a more interesting realignment of alliances.

If AI arena was around in previous seasons, Frank, Cameron and Michael would never have lost.

I'm trying and failing to remember who Frank is. You're not talking about Frankie Grande, I assume.

Matt is Asian.

I don't think it's entirely "superficially" obvious, but he did tell "us" at least once.

Angela hopefully thought that she was yelling "crazy eyes" at a %100 white brah.

It was obvious to me that he's at least somewhat Asian. That's why I couldn't believe what Angela was saying. There are some rather awful racist terms people use that refer to the target's eyes.

Rubina is far from being Blue. I see a real person in Rubina, not "kitty kitty purr purr, follow me on my socials" Blue.

I see Rubina as being just as performative as Blue was. Like every time she talks about herself it's like she's doing a podcast, really forcing a portrayal of herself instead of being genuine.

If the season goes on like this I may end up quitting it. All the most unlikable people got in the most dominant alliance. Tucker and Angela are painful to watch, two of the most cringy houseguests in years and a format where you have three chances to survive solely on comps no matter how bad you are at every other aspect of the game. Then Rubina who has resting podcast face, Joseph who's just a non-presence. If they don't somehow get Tucker out soon this season is becoming unwatchable.

He was in the coach season, I think he might have had a wrestling background. Frank Eudy.

I didn't know Matt was Asian, but I assumed the 'Crazy eyes' thing came from the intimidating way Matt stared at people when addressing them.

Word salad?

She was quite mad during that tirade.

I was misremembering that Crazyeyes was a GI Joe character but I conflated Crazylegs with Snake Eyes, so never mind.

I don't like Rubina, but she does have a point about BB putting commonly-used stuff far out of a short person's reach. It's inconsiderate at best.

I don't know what "resting podcast face" looks like.

At least she's not constantly doing artificial poses and mouthing buzzphrases. Blue would actually have been more in line with this AI season, because I'm not sure she was ever a real person. She was more like an animated character suddenly granted the ability to walk and talk, with some sort of barely-there "personality" that was really unlikeable.

So memorable that I still can't place him.

I've finally realized one reason why I don't like Tucker (besides his cocky arrogance): Listen to his voice. Tell me if there isn't some resemblance to a mashup of Jack Nicholson and a Ferengi. I respect Jack Nicholson as an actor, and enjoyed the movies I've seen him in (all two of them, though I can only remember one as I'm typing this). But his voice, while distinctive, was never endearing.

Quinn really needs to learn not to tell everyone the latest news about alliances.

To be fair, no one is cleaning up after the housemates, if Rubina wants to restructure the kiitchen...

Are the house mates told to go to their rooms, or does Big Brother wait till they're all asleep, until they bring in the weeks shopping... Or do all the cupboards open to the other side of the house, the out side of the house, so that the cupboards can be stocked without any one going into the house? Or does an intern just push a crate of food past the thresh hold of the front door, and then slam the cultural portcullis back down, before they are noticed?

Point being is that Rubina can reassign the location of everything in the house to a more accessible level... How tall is Angela? A tiny ally?

I used to like Tucker, but he is turning into a thug.
