I remember Kyle asking a quiet, hypothetical "what if" question that was just raising the possibility. I thought no more about it, since it's an obvious thing to consider, now that it's a tactic that worked.
However, this season the evictees have been sent out either for reasons of game strategy or being strongly disliked by a majority of the houseguests. I haven't noticed race being a factor.
After thinking about what we were shown last night, my opinion of both Brittany and Michael has taken a significant hit because I can't help but be reminded of Survivor: Island of the Idols contestants Missy Byrd and Elizabeth Beisel falsely corroborating Kellee Kim's legitimate concerns about Dan Spilo's behavior in order to further their own games, although this situation feels somehow worse to me because of the more immediate nature of how Big Brother is structured.
Kyle flat-out lied to Alyssa about whether or not he'd expressed his thoughts that another Cookout situation could happen and that he wanted to set up an alliance to counter that.
Should Michael and Brittany have brought it up sooner? I don't know. There's so much we don't get to see. But they finally did, and if they waited until it would benefit themselves strategically doesn't alter the facts about what Kyle said and did during these past several weeks.

After watching the discussion of it, it seems like he came in the game subconsciously expecting another Cookout, then confirmation bias happened. So it's the kind of thing which on the surface is just a logical game concern but is rooted on a subtle subconscious mistrust. And after seeing Monte and Terrance reactions I see it as more serious just because it's the kind of thing they've had to deal with their entire lives.
So I think Kyle deserved to be evicted, but I don't think he deserves to be labeled a racist in his real life, so I truly hope he's not. It's more on the level of that guy on Survivor who made the durag comment.
For Michael and Brittany I don't think they intended to cynically time the revelation to best benefit their games, but in the end it's what they did. And it definitely hurt their game because right now Michael pretty much needs to win HoH or veto every single week or he's gone.

I think concern about another Cookout situation is entirely legitimate, and it's something that will be on the minds of houseguests in any future seasons as well. It was a strategy that was thought up and executed successfully over the course of however many weeks the show runs. So I understand why it occurred to Kyle that it could happen.
But by the time he started talking about it, it should have been obvious to him that it would not be likely at all to happen, based on the fact that some of the bullying directed at Taylor and repeated nominations for eviction and/or statements that they wanted her gone were coming from other black houseguests.
I'm not saying Taylor didn't invite plenty of pushback over her strutting, overly-sexualized "Pageant Girl" persona, but honestly, that would have happened no matter what her skin color or ethnicity was.
And by the time Kyle started yapping about forming an all-white alliance, he should have known that a suggestion like that wouldn't have been met with any kind of acceptance.
His many "I'm sorry, I'm a naive fool" speeches were pathetic. When it sank in that the entire house was against him and would definitely vote him out, he should have just gone to the Diary Room and asked to leave. Just go.

Oh, and speaking of Alyssa... all her whining that Kyle never did anything for her... hopefully she gets clued in that most of the decisions he made in the game were at least partly motivated by his wish to keep her in the game. Now that her showmance is gone, whose shirttails is she going to latch on to now, since she herself has no skills at basically anything and her friends have already been evicted?

I have a very different read on this entire situation, but given what happened on the other forum I was on, all I'm going to say is that, IMO, no good comes from any of this for either CBS, the people involved, or society in general.
You keep alluding to this other forum, but refuse to give anything more than insinuations. Is this something we could read for ourselves, if you don't want to actually say what you're actually talking about?
I don't know whether to think that our discussion here is better or worse than that other place.

Well, we knew that Michael needed to win a comp every week to stay in, and they took the shot and hit.
Out of the final five, it feels like the winner will be either Monte, Taylor or Turner. I'd kind of be fine with any of those, if somehow it turns into Alyssa/Brittany, Alyssa would probably win and that would annoy me.

I'm annoyed with myself. I've dozed off and missed bits and pieces of every episode this week. Now I have to go back and watch what I missed.
I did see the double evictions last night (missed the first 10 minutes). I'm very happy about the first one, though it'll make the jury house even more miserable.
The second... well, it's dashed my hopes of finally picking the winner and being right for a change. But it was excellent and logical gameplay.
The only one of the women who deserves to win is Taylor (and who'da thunk several weeks ago that I'd ever say that?). She's gone out and fought for herself, rather than coasting on the coattails of other people.

At this point I think Monte is the favorite to win, but he may be the one in the position where he just has to win everything which opens the door for others.
I don't think Michael is really as bitter as he acted in the last few minutes. He was knew he was screwed and was throwing hail marys in a desperate attempt to stay.
He did seem genuinely upset that Turner didn't honor their deal. But then he must have realized that the only logical thing Turner could have done was to backdoor him.

Right now it's not looking like anyone who the jury is bitter against is going to make it to the end though, especially if Brittany goes home this week. A lot of people would be bitter against Michael and Brittany because of the way they waited to reveal Kyle's suggestion of the Cookout. But I don't think anyone's all that mad against anyone else left.

Some aspects of it are cool but the randomness is just fundamentally unfair and it keeps pissing me off. Like in the final how a person gets screwed totally beyond their control if they get randomly paired with a person who quits.
