Big Brother 20

Scargate

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Cast reveal is this morning. Who's excited? Pictures of who might be on have already been leaked on twitter. The interviews on CBS all access start at 11 am EST.

I read there are probably no veterans, so I don't think seeing pictures of the Big Brother cast and getting light biographies will really let us know about them until we see who they act. When does it start, Wednesday after next?

I've watched a handful of their interviews so far. It seems like an interesting bunch, definitely some big personalities in there (Scottie springs to mind). I probably won't be as invested as usual this year, but I'm excited.

I plan to watch, but it usually takes at least a month or more to learn everybody's name.

Initial impression of the first eight people.

Most of them seem reasonably likable, but Kaitlin needs to go away. Now. If I have to hear about auras for the entire show, I will freak out.

Next eight people.

Hipster girl is going to make sarcastic comments about everyone's muscles and get booted immediately. D&D guy could Ian/Steve easily. The guy learning to swim, does he think he's going on Survivor?

Seeing Chicken George reminds me when this show used to pick regular people and now the wackiest, weirdest people they could find.

I like that one of the most normal people in the house is a Muslim.

Swaggy's self-monologue could either become really entertaining or really grating really fast.

Steve seems smart but so intimidating no way anyone trusts him.

Nobody I dislike so far except for Kaitlin. She has a very annoying aura. Don't know which color aura is the most annoying, maybe teal?

Agreed. I have zero patience with pseudoscientific babbling. At least nobody has gone into thankyoujesus mode or babbling in tongues. Yet.

What does "Ian/Steve easily" mean?

The guy learning to swim is being smart. There have been swimming challenges before on this show. And keep in mind that just because someone might audition for Big Brother, they could end up on Survivor or The Amazing Race instead. Learning to swim is just good common sense all around, since all three shows have water challenges.

I used to interact with somebody on another site who was always babbling away about purple chakras, and kept saying I'd be a nicer person if I wore bedroom slippers that aren't purple.

She never did get around to telling me what color slippers I should be wearing. But she was also an anti-vaxxer and vegan zealot who didn't know the difference between Alberta and Manitoba, despite claiming to be Canadian.

Hopefully everyone else finds her as annoying as we do and they get rid of her ASAP.

Now, about this robot punishment... she can't possibly be inside that thing, so where are they stashing her?

I mean, nerdy socially awkward guys have a history of success on the show because nobody ever targets them then they make strategically wise choices. Worked for Ian and Steve.

Yeah, that’s what I don’t like about the robot thing. It’s cute, but it means Sam is probably stashed alone in a dark room, possibly for a week and a half. That’s awful, like being in solitary confinement.

I'll have to take your word on those two names. I literally can't remember them.

There actually aren't many people I remember from previous seasons, unless they were exceptionally fun, nasty, nice, or stood out in other ways.

Ian stands out to me as being the one that defeated Dan, and also the one who squeaked back and forth on the hammock for hours.

The only Coach I remember is that guy from Survivor, who claimed to have already done basically everything, and nearly won in one of his seasons.

I don't remember anyone by that name from Big Brother.

I don't doubt your word, but to me most of the BB contestants are really forgettable people.

Did you see the season where four veterans came in to 'Coach' the other players, but then a few weeks in the coaches entered the game?

Yes, I did. I didn't realize you meant the word "Coach" in that context. I thought you meant it as the name of a player.

I'm blanking on the name of the one with Aspergers, though.

I'm watching yesterday's episode now. Two things are currently pissing me off. They introduced JC as 'Tiny Dancer', and they forced Sam to sit alone in a dark room for a week.

Also it kind of pisses me off that when Sam was nominated they showed the picture of the robot. Come on, this is a freaking comp penalty. She's been sitting in a dark room for days, she's losing her mind, let her keep her ****ing identity.
