Big Brother 16: Gentlemen, commence your appallingness!

I think the eviction schedule got messed up because Thursday Night Football forced them to skip the Thursday broadcast.

If that happened it would pretty much be a Fabio situation.

I wonder when all of that was filmed? I didn't notice a "live" caption like they normally have during eviction episodes. Frankie sure was the happiest person to meet Julie Chen, wasn't he? I don't remember anyone being that overjoyed to be voted out. Though, now that I think about it, his obsession with the Chenbot reminds me of Caleb's obsession with Amber.

I think that's just an allergic reaction Frankie has to the spotlight. In my observation, when he's not feeling the attention squarely on him he acts like a normal person, but when he knows he's in a situation where the spotlight is focused directly on him he starts acting out. Being voted out is one of those situations he takes as an instinctual cue to start performing.

So of course he's going to act out in the presence of Julie Soong Chen.

Did he get that much for the missions he did with Derrick and Frankie?

Or are you suggesting he'll win the money for the fan favorite?

Did he get that much for the missions he did with Derrick and Frankie?
No. They completed four missions. At $5,000 each, that's $20,000.

Or are you suggesting he'll win the money for the fan favorite?

Combining the Team America money with the fan favorite money would be $40,000.

I don't know if it will end up being Donny. I think it may be Zach.

The feeds are still going, they were just out for the day that they were filming the Frankie eviction episode. If you want spoilers....

The first part of the final HOH competition was endurance and Cody won. Now Derrick and Victoria will compete sometime in the next few days in part 2.

I hope it's Donny. He had to put up with a lot of crap from some of those people.

I thought they completed three. If it's four that would be $45,000.

I can't imagine Donny not winning the vote.

I did a quick google search for 'big brother 16 popularity poll'. I found a weekly poll that as of one week ago fell like this:
Donny 46%
Derrick 23%
Nicole 10%
Zach 9%

Donny is setting himself up as the Big Brother version of Rupert.

Some people hate Rupert, though. I've never understood why, since the worst thing I remember him doing was building a shelter that got flooded. That would make his teammates annoyed, but why would it piss off the viewers?

Donny's worst sin, that I know of, is that he was older than the others and of a gentler disposition.

Poor Donny. It must have been awful, being left out of so much. Of course some of it was his choice (choosing early bedtime over staying up all night), but the rest of the time?

"Nobody to plot with... I'll just plot with myself."

Aw. :(

Donny kind of made his own bed though. Remember at the start every time somebody told him something he'd immediately start announcing it to everybody. Donny never made any attempt to mobilize his allies against the people he knew were in power. But, also to be fair to him, they only let one person above 30 in the house per season. If they cast more older people like Survivor maybe he would have had a better social game.

It was definitely a really well cast season. Just the action became kind of boring because Derrick was so dominant nobody even targeted him.

What do you think the odds are Nicole & Hayden appear in the Spring Amazing Race?

I wonder if Donny will accept the offer to guest on The Bold and the Beautiful. If so, I'll have to start watching it again (haven't seen it since James Doohan guested many years ago).

There is no question I have enjoyed Derrick's game, but would it have worked if he wasn't part of the original Bomb Squad or aligned with the only other really strategic person in the game in Frankie. He had people like Caleb and Victoria, who were ripe to be manipulated.

I wonder how he would fare against a stronger mental cast.

Not to mention the 'Team America' association. They did try to keep that 3-person mini-alliance going as long as they felt they reasonably could.

Follow-up question, how much sway do we think Frankie is going to have in the jury house? I think it's easy to say zero, but he is a guy who will eventually worm himself into people's thinking.

On a side note, if Derrick wins HoH will he be the first player ever to make it to the end without being nominated? According to Wikipedia Drew also was never nominated but that doesn't count people who may have been on the block and vetoed. And to do it in the season with twice as many nominees?

I think Frankie may be able to sell people one way or another. Not everybody, but people who haven't already made up their mind. And only if it's between Derrick and Cody. People are thinking of giving credit to Derrick for their game, but if Frankie wants to he could probably bring out the Team America card to make Cody look better than Derrick.

I think Coach Dan was never nominated during his first season on the show. I vaguely recall him making a big deal about being nominated for the first time in his coaching-turned-player season. This was of course just before his infamous "funeral" gambit.

As for the Frankie factor in the jury house, I believe the Team America information is withheld by an agreement with the producers so Frankie may be unable to blow up Derrick's game with its revelation, but who knows what the producers are encouraging/discouraging in the jury members' actions in order to provoke televised drama.

Even if he's contractually obligated not to tell them about Team America, I think he could pull on the spite strings for the lies he knows were told.

Dan was nominated week 1 vs Brian, wasn't he?
