Big Brother 13: Dynamic Duos (Potential Spoilers)

CBS announced today the victims/contestants of Big Brother 13! They look like an interesting bunch. I’m pleasantly surprised by the diversity in this group, verses season’s past. The big news is that BB is going to be bringing back 6 former houseguests in addition to the 8 new contestants. The returnees are paired in groups of two, and are labeled “Dynamic Duos” from BB’s past. Apparently, duos in the running to return are:

Brendon and Rachel
Mike Boogie and Dr. Will
Evel Dick and Daniele
Jeff and Jordan
Enzo and Hayden
Jessie and Natalie

I sincerely hope the Mike Boogie/Dr. Will and Jessie/Natalie duos fail to make the cut. I can’t stand the idea of them retuning. But the: Enzo/Hayden, Jeff/Jorden, Dick/Daniele, or Brendon/Rachel duos could be fun. The Brendon/Rachel duo simply for the trainwreak factor.

Anyone else looking forward to this summer guilty pleasure?

I was going to start a thread but I didn't think anyone else here would care.

I am very much looking forward to the season starting and to watching the live feeds this summer.

Something I have been thinking about though...many are assuming that the 3 pairs returning will be chosen from the 6 that CBS posted in their poll on the website. However, I took it as only one of those pairs is returning due to the way the poll question is phrased. Basically, I thought that they are asking who one of the pairs will be (with the other 2 being other past contestants not in the poll). I guess we will find out in a week.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dick/Daniele and Dr. Will/Boogie (although I don't like them much they are better than many of the alternatives). Dick and Daniele don't seem likely though because Daniele is hosting a Big Brother rumors show with Ragan for the next week for those who have already bought the live feeds. But who knows.

I really hope to see Jeff and Jordan. Don't want to see Hayden and Enzo because I am still sick of them from last year and never liked either of them to begin with.

I really, REALLY don't want to see Brendan/Rachel or Jessie/Natalie, especially the first couple. I despise Rachel and would seriously consider not buying the live feeds if I knew she would be in there.

Oh, Ronnie.

Speaking of Ronnie, in one of the pre-game interviews, BB13 contestant Adam named Ronnie his favorite houseguest of all time. Not a good sign.

Adam and Keith (who had not met each other at the time of the pre-game interviews) both said they wanted to get into an alliance with three female houseguests. AND they both said they wanted their alliances to be named "Adam's Angels" and "Keith's Angels" respectively. Way to be original guys!

I really, REALLY don't want to see Brendan/Rachel or Jessie/Natalie, especially the first couple. I despise Rachel and would seriously consider not buying the live feeds if I knew she would be in there.

In the off chance Rachel does manage to find herself in the game again, I'd bet dollars to donuts she'd be the first one out. Save for Jen (from BB8), the majority of the BB13 houseguests said they disliked Rachel the most (in terms of previous houseguests) in the interviews.

I voted for Evel Dick/Daniele. It would hard to see any of them coming back really making it far, but Dick would at least make it interesting.

A duo I would love to see (but would likely never happen) is Jessica and Eric. They were awesome, and deserve a second chance after being forced not to use the veto that Eric had won. That really sucked.

She also mentioned the poll was just for viewers to voice their opinion - that it has no influence over which pairs return.

I agree, they were two of my favorites. I'm surprised that with all the obsessive Big Brother fans out there, they haven't been able to track down through the internets exactly who the couples will be.

They broke up for a bit after it came out that Brendan was showing his man parts to another woman over a webcam, but after he made a horribly embarassing public apology on YouTube they got back together and are now engaged. Their wedding was supposed to be September 3 but has now been pushed back until next spring, which is one big reason that people believe they will be on this season of Big Brother.

From the rumors I have read at several sites, it seems very likely that Jeff and Jordan and Brendon and Rachel could both be in.

I agree. Jeff & Jordan are viewer favorites, so it makes sense to bring them back - assuming they're willing.

Brendon & Rachel were no doubt sitting by the phone, praying for a call from casting. I imagine the production people view "Brenchel" as the perfect counter to J&J, so it wouldn't be surprising to see them back. Plus, as annoying as they were, B&R were the only houseguests last season to trigger those explosive fights that CBS (and the live feed viewers) love so dearly.

Eric & Jessica would be cool, but I'd be surprised to see them return. From what I remember, they dated for awhile outside of the game, but have since broken up. Could they put that behind them to return as a duo? Jessica did compete for a spot in BB11 (only to lose out to Jessie) so she has shown a willingness to return. Who knows.

Is it Thursday yet? I'm so hungry for this to start, it's kinda pathetic.

Although far from confirmed, the general consensus in the BB online community is that the three returning couples will be...

Jeff/Jordan: I would feel pretty comfortable betting money on this possibility. As far as BB romances go, this one is probably the audience favorite. I'd be shocked if these two weren't one of the returning duos.

Brendon/Rachel: Another safe bet, but not quite the slam-dunk guarantee Jeff/Jordan are.

Dick/Daniele: This possibility seems the least likely of the three, but the rumors persist. As Spot's Meow has pointed out, Daniele has her SuperPass webcam-show-thingy. I don't think SuperPass or CBS would mind pulling her out of that commitment to do BB, but (unlike the other houseguests) she was not sequestered for things like the House Reveal. Which leads me to think she's not involved. But I could be wrong.

I'm having the same thoughts. I am way too excited for this to start. It's the first season I will have the live feeds. I've wanted them in the past, but didn't go for it because I knew I would be working most of the day so it wouldn't be worth it. But I guess one of the (very few) benefits of unemployment is that I have time to sit around watching Big Brother.

Anyway, so many people seem adament that Dick and Daniele will be in the house. I think that it is a possibility, but probably not a very likely one. We just don't know yet.

I do think it's hilarious though how so many people will take random rumors as fact. These supposed "confirmed rumors" could easily be coming from a random fan with too much time on his hands and a mean streak. I've also read that some people think the Twitter accounts posting these rumors as fact are actually run by former houseguest Ronnie.

Hmmm, well Daniele wasn't able to fulfill her co-hosting duties today on Rumor Control. Supposedly due to technical difficulties. So either she's in the game right now, or the SuperPass people are intentionally screwing with us.

So Episode 1 tonight. If I had to pick from the 8 we know of to win, I'd go with Keith or Dominic.

But none of them really inspire me as a winner against a previous player. I can see them either doing the smart plan and marching the former players out the door one by one or the Survivor plan of being starstruck and wiped out.

If Jeff/Jordan make it, I guarantee at least one, if not both will be gone by the third week. Dick/Daniele may make it longer, but if these people know the game, they won't let Dick be there for long. If it's Brenchel...god help us all. I don't give much the other "duos" much of a chance.

Well, another summer is upon us. Let the games begin!

I am really looking foward to this season of Big Brother. I watch the every season. I hope Dick/Daniele, Jeff/Jordan, or Enzo/Hayden anyone of these get to come back. I really liked Dick the best. He keep the show very interesting. This season is going to be great.

Brenchel is back...and have the first HOH. This has to be the worst start to a season ever.

Daniele is as much as a bitch as I remember her being. I won't be sad to see her go.

The new kids are so horny. Seriously, this is a game for $500,000, not a dating site. It'll be the six veterans before long.

Hopefully Rachel's vocal chords give out before that...
