Better Call Saul, the TV series

Didn't Kim see something in a photo that she smiled about? I think there's another shoe she has to drop. High heeled.

Definitely. But I fear her days at Schweikart & Cokely are numbered. It was an awkward dilemma she found herself in. Rick was willing to sweep it under the rug, but had she not confronted him, it would have basically been an admission that he was right.

My two cents...

Kim, I'm having a hard time with her. While I think she does love Jimmy I think she wants the relationship on her terms and her terms only. The fact that she got busted and is fighting with her boss over it shows she knows she is in trouble. My guess is disbarment and eventual break up with Jimmy.

Howard, I think his offer was an honest offer. He probably knew Chuck was an asshole and screwed Jimmy over and wants to try and do the right thing. He always struck me as a reasonably decent guy in a shitty profession.

I've come into this series of Better Call Saul only remembering bits and pieces. I think once my studying is over in the summer I need to do an epic rewatch of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

I think the episode my wife is in is this week! Woot!

She plays a lawyer with a short/pixie style hair cut. No lines, but she said she should have a decent amount of camera time. Of course, we all know how those things work out once the editors have made their cuts. Very proud of her!
Good to know! I'll keep an eye out for her.

Phew! - what an episode!

4 million - the look on Kim's face ...

Also, somehow... I just knew she was going to say that at the end. Perhaps in contrast to what her mother said - you never listen. There's a tug of war going on with Kim when it comes to Jimmy, but - in this case - she CAN'T walk away from the man she loves and isn't listening to that voice screaming to get out.

I hope it doesn't turn out she actually stayed with him through the period he's laundering money for meth like some predicted. That would make the first four seasons of Kim's character development feel like a lie. Ethically compromising to do the right thing, sure, but supporting drug dealers outright, no way.

That was tense. :o

I'm still leaning towards Kim ending up with nothing, despite the mention of marriage. I think she's willing to go so far, but not as far as Saul does in BB. We'll see I guess, but it's still very compelling.

The different fake adverts against Mesa Verde were so funny.

Wow. I really thought Kim was finally going to make a clean break from Jimmy and his crazy antics, once and for all. And the she drops a bomb of a suggestion. As much as I love Jimmy and his relationship with Kim, I don't want to see Kim corrupted by Saul's sleaziness. She deserves a better life than that...and yet she can't bring herself to walk away. She had the good common sense as a young teenager to not get in the car with her obviously drunk mother, but now she has lost that sense? Because of what? Love? I'm not sure if I believe that, there's something else deeper than that I fear.

Speaking of Kim's mom, that was a brutal cold opening. I half expected it to end with us finding out her mom died in a car accident just minutes later. Hell, they might still reveal that later on...

I love how Mike's quiet side dealing has set-up Lalo in order to counteract his PI hustle against Gus's men. This is going to be a hell of tug of war between the two guys. We don't know how it'll end exactly, but we do know who is left standing after the dust clears. But I do fear for Nacho and especially his father.

Perhaps...but it was still pretty funny.

How quickly we forget how awful Howard was at the beginning of this show.

But I thought a lot of the shitty stuff Howard did at the beginning was him acting on Chuck's instructions?

I think the reason Jimmy's got this little vendetta going is because deep down he suspects Howard's offer might be genuine. The look on his face after he finished giggling over Howard and the hookers spoke volumes.

Re Kim's "proposal" presumably this is a 'wives can't testify against husbands' thing?

Really hoping Mike winds up saving Nacho. His set up of Lalo was a little clunky but was fun.

Remind me, what did he exactly do (except not offering him a job in the firm)?

Five years is a very looooong time.... :alienblush:

I love how a prequel can create new characters that you don't know what the hell is going to happen to! A testament to the writing and acting that I even care about the fates awaiting Kim and Nacho.
