Best/worst short stretch of Star Trek

I tend to think of TNG and DS9 as being the best Treks but in my current watch of DS9 I came across a stretch of DS9 where almost all were 'skip' episodes. (And I consider less than 25% of the series skip episodes)

Invasive Procedures: Skip
Cardassians: Skip
Melora: Skip
Rules of Acquisition: Skip
Necessary Evil: Decent ep
Second Sight: Skip
Sanctuary: Skip
Rivals: Watched it, barely

So out of less than 30 episodes I consider 'skip' episodes for the entire series, 6 of them appear in a stretch of 7 episodes. I think this stretch of early season 2 DS9 is the worst short stretch of the entire franchise.

The best on the other hand (IMHO), is either the Occupation arc in DS9, or one of the stretches in TNG: Deja Q through Captain's Holiday or Chain of Command through Frame of Mind.

At the time I thought ENT seasons 1 and 2 had the highest rate of skippable episodes, but now I'd tie it with TNG in general.

Hmmm the only ones I skip in your DS9 list is Melora. I think because my mother was handicapped. Actually, I skip Second Sight too.

But I never skip Cardassians! I love that episode!

I skip some of the more episodic episodes of DS9 and once in a while I don't feel like watching the Mirror Universe ones. I wouldn't call them skippable though.

I can't really pinpoint exactly where I would skip on each series, but here's my list of skippable VOY episodes. Since I'm on a first name basis with all of the VOY episodes, these are my usual skips on a rewatch. That SAID, I have still seen all of these episodes a gazillion times anyway.

I think Enterprise was the weakest of the Trek series. "Prequels" tend to be weaker.

Rewatching TNG, I agree that it has the highest number of skippable episodes. Some of the stuff that made it to air is just mind-boggling dull.

If I'm watching them through I won't skip things but I don't watch a whole lot of the 1st two seasons of DS9
