Best/Worst dialogue in TNG

Holdfast

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
"The metabolation occlusions aren't holding... damn it, I can't stop the heterocyclic declination! Fuse! <pause while fusing beams fire into Picard, then a dramatic look up to camera> We need a biomolecular physiologist in here NOW! This man is DYING!"

I leave it to you to decide whether this is a nomination for the best or worst category. I'm honestly not entirely sure.

Your choices? :)

"If there's nothing wrong with me, then there must be something wrong with the universe!" -- Doctor Beverly Crusher, Star Trek: The Next Generation "Remember Me"

I love that line. :)

"Jean-Luc, there's something I've been meaning to tell you..." (Dr. Crusher, The Arsenal of Freedom)

Best teasing dialogue - hands down.

^ Malleus, I think the episode you're looking for there is either The High Ground or Remember Me ;)

SiorX, I am supposed to be "the phantom [GHSS] menace" here, not you! ;)

You popped into the wrong thread. :D

Best: "Your life....as it has been.....is over"

Worst: Yar's entire conversation about drugs with Wesley.

One of my favorite lines is from The Nth degree, when Barclay is in the Holodeck creating the brain interface device. I don't remember the exact lines but it is something like....Computer create a left-handed <technobabble> console here. The computer responds by telling Reg that no such device currently exists. Barclay counters by telling the computer "No problem, I will tell you how to create it!"

That is one of my favorite episodes of TNG, even though I was never a big fan of Barclay. But it was cool to see him tell the computer what to do!

"I assume your handprint will open this door whether you are conscious or not." (Data in A Matter of Time)

That's my favorite line. I don't have a least favorite.

The line's from "Remember Me". Just watched it. God, that line is so awful!

The one gem from an otherwise waste of an episode: "Sir, I protest. I am NOT a 'merry man'!"

Worst were the exchanges between Wes and Judd-chick in the sex toy episode.

One of my favorites:
"I planted radishes in this special dirt, and they came up all wieeeerd!"

The worst:
"I'm with Starfleet, we don't lie."
"There are some games I don't know yet."
And any of Troi's lines in the first season.

Three little words; Star Trek's most dramatic moment:

"Shut up, Wesley!"

Err... sorry. I meant:

"Mister Worf, fire!"

Best

Picard's last speech in "Measure of a Man", when he is defending Data. Great writing, great concept, and great delivery from Jean-Luc.

Worst

Alot of the first season. Elitist, unrealistic and just plain dumb in spots. I second Lt. Yar speech about drugs, just plain bad. ugh :brickwall:

Best - "Surely this ship was never meant to go into battle without its captain" and "Let's make sure history never forgets the name Enterprise". Also, as someone's already noted, Picard's speech from Measure of a Man". Finally, "Fire."

Worst - from BOBW 2.
Picard: "Sleep."
Crusher: "He must be exhausted."
I hate the way she completely misses the point and her line seems to lame.

Best

Maxwell - "I'm not going to win this one, am I Chief?"

Chief (quietly) - "No sir"

Worst

Troi - "CAPTAIN....I sense gweat joy....and gwatitude"
