Best/Worst dialogue in TNG

Best:

Picard breaking down to his Brother (Ok, it's one of the best and a very nice dramatic moment) in Family

Worst:

We're Starfleet, we don't lie.

Some of my favorite lines from TNG are "Yesterday's Enterprise" between Picard and Guinan in the Observation Lounge.

-Aaron

"Mrs. Troi, are you old?"

"I'm... alone, Alexander."

Alexander/Lwaxanna Troi from "Cost of Living." Wonderful scene from a rather underrated episode.

"I assume your handprint will open this door whether you are conscious or not." (Data in A Matter of Time)

That's my favorite line. I don't have a least favorite.

Sweet! I just watched that episode. And there's always, "Welcome to the 24th century." HAH! Take that!

Malleus said:
"Jean-Luc, there's something I've been meaning to tell you..." (Dr. Crusher, The Arsenal of Freedom)

Best teasing dialogue - hands down.
The line's from "Remember Me". Just watched it. God, that line is so awful!

It's in both episodes.

Best: Q: What must I do to convince you?

Worf: Die.

Worst:
Anything that makes Data reply "I do not feel anything."

For Worst dialogue (outside of the entire episode "Justice", which has already been mentioned):

Mendon, the Benzite exchange officer in "A Matter of Honor", had an entire cringeworthy speech about recovering from failure that had me literally booing the screen when I saw it the first time.

"... and I will succeed brilliantly!" Feh.

Gonna piggyback on HRHTheKing's "The Wounded" mention with this longtime favorite of mine, from O'Brien:

"It's not you I hate, Cardassian. I hate what I became because of you."

Best:

RIKER: Computer, release command control to this station. Authorization, Riker-Omega-Three. Okay, Morta. The Enterprise computer system is controlled by three primary main processing cores cross linked with a redundant melacortz ramistat and fourteen kiloquad interface modules. The core elements are based on FTL nanoprocessor units arranged into twenty-five bilateral kelilactirals with twenty of those units being slaved to the central heisenfram terminal…..you do know what a bilateral kelilactiral is, don't you?
MORTA: ….Of course I do, human. I am not stupid!
RIKER: …No, of course not. Now this is the isopalavial interface which controls the main firomactal drive unit. Don't touch that! You'll blow up the entire firomactal drive!
MORTA: What? Wait….What is... what is a firomactal? Just explain it to me!
RIKER: Sigh! That is the firomactal drive unit...it controls the central ramistat core and also keeps the ontarian manifold within forty thousand KRG.

Worst:

Any line of dialogue that contained: "...anti-time..."

Simultaneously best and worst (it gets into "so bad it's good" territory): "Klingon Imperial Empire."

"Your honor, the courtroom is a crucible; in it, we burn away irrelevancies until we are left with a purer product: the truth, for all time. Now sooner or later, this man [Commander Maddox] – or others like him – will succeed in replicating Commander Data. The decision you reach here today will determine how we will regard this creation of our genius. It will reveal the kind of people we are; what he is destined to be. It will reach far beyond this courtroom and this one android. It could significantly redefine the boundaries of personal liberty and freedom: expanding them for some, savagely curtailing them for others. Are you prepared to condemn him [Commander Data] – and all who will come after him – to servitude and slavery? Your honor, Starfleet was founded to seek out new life: well, there it sits! Waiting. You wanted a chance to make law. Well, here it is...make it a good one."
- Jean-Luc Picard, The Measure of a Man.

Worst
"I'm with Starfleet; we don't lie."
- Wesley Crusher, Justice

After Picard has Pressman arrested:

PRESSMAN: I have a lot of friends at Starfleet Command, Captain.

PICARD: You're going to need them.

Zing!

Best:

Picard or Beverly: SHUT UP WESLEY.

Lore's song about potato/tomato.
