Best things about your least favorite series.

The Enterprise cast seemed good. I liked the premise of humanity's tentative babysteps into space. I liked the look of the sets.

DS9: enjoyed the Cardies; Quark was fun; and I actually liked Vic Fontaine -- plus, loved his mid-century modern digs.

The original series started it all. The better series are in it's debt.

IMO, of course.

Well, or I could say the animated series. I guess the best thing about it was the awesome Special Effects XD

Ent - Although I didn't care for the show (the only Trek series I ever gave up on in its original run) I really liked the episode "Twilight".

Even though I've hated DS9 for so long... recently I've tried to get beyond that and watch the darn thing.
This may be the only time I say something good about it so here goes:
It is still a soap in space, but I do like the FAITH of the Bajorans. While religious leaders are portrayed as villainous sometimes (I love to hate that bitch, Wynn), the faith of the Bajoran people is not ridiculed or taken lightly.

ENT- I'll get back to you on that one.. still trying to find something nice to say.

Enterprise at least managed to clear up the Klingon forehead problem (albeit after worsening it at first), something that really bothered me. But that's really about it.

My least favorite is Enterprise. The best thing I can say about it is that Porthos was a cute little doggy.

Enterprise:

Great recurring characters. Shran, Soval, Cutler, Porthos. Phlox was a great character as well.

I liked quite a few individual Enterprise stories. "In a Mirror Darkly", the Vulcan story arc, elements of the Xindi arc, "Regeneration".

I liked the ship design. I think all of that "Akiraprise" (the ship, not the Mod) bashing is incredibly stupid.

Hoshi = :drool:.

Voyager is my least favoruite Trek series. Here are the things I liked about it:

it has a female captain
Chakotay
Tom Paris
(the great fan fic those two generated)
Seven of Nine's de-Borging episodes
The episode where Chakotay is semi-Borged
The opening credits are awesome
Paris and B'Ellana's relationship

On the whole, though, I just can't get into this incarnation.

DS9--Trials and Tribbleations, that's a classic. When Dax is going all sensual over the old tricorder, love that! And Sisko has just got to meet Kirk. And they used the exact same actor to play the bad guy? Great stuff!

Enterprise's fourth season. Yeah, it's fanwank on a level that you have to be the kind of Trek fan who lives and breathes Trek to understand and enjoy it. But that's what kind of fan I am, and I loved that year.

ENT is my least favourite. Things I liked:

The premise
The title theme for the first two seasons
The episode "Fortunate Son"

Marian

Least favorite series: Voyager

Favorite things: Episodes centering on B'Elanna Torres.

For me, those were the most enjoyable.

DS9--Trials and Tribbleations, that's a classic. When Dax is going all sensual over the old tricorder, love that! And Sisko has just got to meet Kirk. And they used the exact same actor to play the bad guy? Great stuff!
The scene with Sisko and Kirk wasn't actually from the original "Trouble With Tribbles" episode. They used footage from "Mirror, Mirror" for that (it's the scene where original-universe Kirk meets original-universe Marlena, the "Captain's Woman" from the Mirror universe).

Voyager.

Seven/Jeri Ryan. She was an oasis of charisma, charm, and acting talent, in seasons 1-3 of Voyager's vast desert of dry, uninspired wind-baggery.

Worst: Enterprise - Generally lame from the opening theme on.

Best aspects: Always enjoyed any backstory to the TOS. The Vulcan episodes were the best.

T'pal - Pointed ears, big b**bs, bad attitude = a winning combination
