Best Story Head to Head "Emissary" vs "Past Prologue

Well as best episodes seem to be doing the rounds, thought I try one that might keep us going for while. Instead of the usual list. As an Idea it's 2 stories up against each other the one with the highest number of votes goes up against the next story. So first up would be "Emisarry" vs "Past Prologue", the winner goes onto face "A Man Alone"

Let's encourage discussion for our voting rationale. I chose "Emissary" even though "Past Prologue" is a pretty decent story. There's just too much going on in the premiere, too much being introduced, to get beaten-out any time soon, I think.

Already have, poll is only open for 3 days. I too went for "Emissary" whilst both are ok stories I think overall "Emissary" wins it. It does a decent job of introducing ther characters,.

For me it's easily Emissary, which while I was first watching Season 1 remained my favorite episode until running into Duet.

Emissary, it's the best series premiere of all Modern Trek. Possibly all of Trek.
