So I've been plowing through my Seinfeld DVDs once again, and I just love the recurring characters on this show. Who is your favorite

I want to say George Steinbrenner, 'cause he mad me laugh the hardest. But if I'm honest I have to vote for George's dad.

I think they got the most milage out of him.

I voted Puddy if only for his voice:p...Riiiigghht

Actually, I love all the recurring characters. They were all 'perfectly' used. :)

J. Peterman for me, with George's dad a close second. But I just loved how over the top-idly "continental" and verbose J. Peterman was.

But Jerry Stiller as George's dad was a hoot. Naturaly, Newman was a hoot too.

Peterman.

At a viewing of 'The English Patient'

Peterman: Elaine, you don't like the movie?
Elaine: I HATE IT!
Audience: SHHHHHH!
Elaine: OH GO TO HELL!
Peterman: Well, why didn't you say so in the first place? You're fired.
Elaine: Great, I'll wait for you outside.

:guffaw:

(Elaine has inadvertently consumed a slice of wedding cake from the wedding of the Queen.... Or something, likely don't have the right quote but am likely close.)
"Elaine, have you ever had a buttercreme frosting after a half-century of sitting around in an English basement?"
"... No."
"Then I think what you're about to go through is punishment enough. Dimissed."

Tough one. Puddy gets a lot of points because I love Patrick Warburton's voice, but... it has to be Frank. Jerry Stiller is a genius. Plus... sometimes, louder is FUNNIER!

1. Frank Costanza - 'Festivus: The Holiday for the Rest of Us'. I mean seriously - what other TV character can be credited with inventing a holiday which people actually celebrate, a decade after the show went off the air? Great holiday traditions, too...my personal favorite being 'the airing of grievances'.

2. Estelle Costanza - my personal highlight for this one was when Estelle caught George erm....'notifying the moderator'. Awesome episode.

3. Newman - my personal highlight being in the episode "Wide Lanes", where Kramer adopts a stretch of highway and widens the lanes. At the end, when the sewing machine falls out of the back of his car and catches on the bottom of Newmans truck and the sparks set off an explosion that blows him up....that was frakkin' hilarious!

J. Peterman for me, with George's dad a close second. But I just loved how over the top-idly "continental" and verbose J. Peterman was.
Same here--What a choice!

Nice to see Seinfeld getting some love around these parts. It tends to be one of those things that's trendy to bash around here.

I voted for Puddy, but Sue Ellen Mischke, heir to the "O Henry" fortune and the "bra-less wonder" holds a place in my, um, heart.
