Best Season of TNG? The 2008 Poll

Have a difficult time choosing between 3 and 4

I like season 5 mostt, mainly because most of my favorite episodes are in that season.

But all seasons are actually excellent!

TNG rocks!

I enjoyed all the seasons but season 2 stood out as being my favorite because I am not a big Dr. Crusher fan and loved the character of Dr. Pulaski much better.

Season 3 is by far the best season of TNG. I don't think the season starts out particularly strong, but after about five episodes it just starts hitting one home run after another. Season 4 and 5 are sort of the runners up in this category. The problem is (for me) that S4 is a little too character driven. And S5 doesn't have quite as many outstanding shows as S3 does.

For me its S1 followed by S3, the rest are generally weak with some good episodes sprinkled in

The third season is my favourite. The 4th might be better in the sense that it has bigger number of excellent episodes, but its... mood is somehow less impressive. That´s because the 3th has better music (Ron Jones unfortunately left mid-fourth season) and it is also a good mix of season 1-2 "cheesiness" and the overral higher productional quality of the later seasons.

I have to say this, although it might be a bit off-topic: I find the second season to be really good. Sure it had a couple of S1-like clunkers, but it has many truly great episodes too: Where Silence Has Lease, Elementary Dear Data, Loud as a Whisper, The Schizoid Man, Matter Of Honor, Contagion, Measure Of a Man, The Royale...(lets not recite the whole list...)

Season 4! Only 2-3 bad ones in the bunch. Season 3 is probably 2nd.

I must say I'm surprised, even fascianated, that the sixth season, IMO the show's third best season, is uprated by seasons 1 and 5, seasons I consider generally weaker ones.

season 3.

a little bit uneven at times (i still don't like "tin man," "the hunted," or "the high ground" much) but, for me, TNG never topped the high points of season 3.

Season 4. Consistently good IMO.

I thought S3 was a bit over-rated, whereas S2 was under-rated.
