Best Sci-Fi channel TV Movie?

I know it's like kind of like looking for the hottest girl at a fat camp, but I was wondering what people thought were the best made for tv movies done by the Sci-Fi channel?

I would have to vote for Riverworld, despite the many deviations from the source material.

I guess I should rephrase the question as "the best original made for tv movie on sci-fi"

Connor Trinneer's movie, "Star Runners," wasn't as bad as most of the SciFi Channel movies. Not saying a whole lot, but I was able to watch it (with some fast-forwarding) and not want to kill someone when it was over.

Isn't that a bit like saying "your favorite part of Season 5 of Earth: Final Conflict?" Or "the tastiest airline food you've ever eaten"?

What about films released direct to video shown on the Sci-Fi Channel?..if that's allowable, the following gets my vote..

Originally known as "Beyond the Rising Moon" this film is quite well done for a budget of $115,000.00..

and is much better that hosts of films that Skiffi has made over the past decade (I've never forgiven them for cancelling MST3K..)

Now there's a quote they should use in their ads. :rommie:

Do miniseries count? I didn't hate Tin Man.

I just watched "The Mutant Chronicles" starring Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman. I thought it was supposed to come out in theaters but I guess not. It started off vaguely interesting but I kinda stopping watching it halfway through, more because it was boring than terrible.

I liked Tin Man, too. Not fantastic but not bad, either. I was VERY fond of The Lost Room--another miniseries of theirs.

Maybe they should make more miniseries and cut back on the crappola movies.

I've never seen an original movie on the channel that was worth watching in any respect--and I include Bruce Campbell's two ultimately unfunny efforts, unfortunately.

Miniseries--now that's another question. Both Frank Herbert's Dune series were quite good, as was The Lost Room.

Skiffy puts more effort into their miniseries, and those don't have anywhere near the reputation that the weekly Sci-Fi Original Movies have.

That said, I thought that The Immortal Voyage of Captain Drake was kind of fun.

I hate all the Sci-fi Channel movies, so the best I can do is vote for the one with the cutest girl in it.

Still nothing comes to mind. :p

Maybe that one with Bruce Campbell and Renee O'Connor vs. the termite people.
