Best Recurring Non-Main Character

Gotta go with the Chief. He took a no-name character that any extra could have played in the pilot to a main character on a spin-off, to the second highest number of appearances of any Trek actor. Pretty cool.

Q's Worf Insults are the best!

my fav:

Geordi: Worf, is this your idea of sex?

Worf: This is sex. but I have no place for it in my life now!

Q: No place for it micro brain? What posesses you?

Why is Keiko even an option??? Isn't she just about the worst character in TNG/DS9 history?

I voted for Ro.

I think it's hilarious that Keiko gets no votes.

She was realistic though, in her bitchiness. Just not larger than life in it which is what makes great television.

Keiko was annoying, but she was ok as long as she didn't start saving the day or going on away missions or anything. She was a good stay at home mom kind of a character.

She was larger than life - in her bitchiness! :guffaw:

But hot damn, she was nice to look at!

Q or Ro Laren would be my choices, so I'm going with Q since he had more of an impact on the series.

Miles Obrian had some good parts in TNG, but not a whole lot. He was used much better (and more often) in DS9 than in TNG.

I chose Barclay because Q is more of a regular, since he began and ended the seires, and was inbetween, and if Berman hadn't fucked things up, we might have had a good movie of him.

I went with Miles. I really liked him on DS9, and by proxy we get Keiko, who was a great character too.

He ended up being an engineer made out of the Scotty mold, having worked magic integrating the Starfleet systems into DS9 and having them cooperate nicely. One regular plot device in DS9 revolved around the absence of O'Brien and how the systems would go haywire when he wasn't there.

He was also a well written character too.

I always thought Q was a great character - I especially like the ep where he's forced to become human by the continuum - ow? OW!
