Mirror Mirror is a classic but I just can't resist The Intendant. The first 3 DS9 Mirror episodes showcased her at her best but I'll go with Crossover since it was the first one DS9 did. Shattered Mirror showed an even darker side to her as well as being awesome for other reasons.

"Mirror, Mirror".

Runner up is "In a Mirror, Darkly".

I don't agree with DS9's interpretation of how to get to the Mirror Universe at all.

All of them.

The Mirror Universe is the best part of Star Trek. While some are better than others, there's no such thing as a bad Mirror Universe episode.

VOY: Living Witness is the closest we get to a Mirror Universe there, and deserves honorable mention, though the story is really about revisionist history.

In a Mirror, Darkly is my favorite. I thought it was brilliantly done. The alternative opening was great.

:techman:

"The Emperor's New Cloak" is probably the only DS9 take I like, because it blatantly admits to being a complete farce with some great touches. Shimerman and Grodenchik carefully rehearsed the invisible cloaking device gag. Nicole deBoer quickly adapts to the shenanigans in her one chance at it, with a memorable Mirror Ezri.

Mirror Mirror is best to me. Without it then it would not have started off the rest of them existing. Or it might have done without it, maybe in another universe. ;)

Runner ups to me would be the In a Mirror Darkly 2 parter, and DS9's Shattered Mirror. The only one that didn't do it for me was Resurrection, but only as I find it a bit more average than the rest. I have to agree there isn't really any bad mirror episodes at all in my opinion.

I liked the IAMD credits, but "Mirror, Mirror" is my favorite.

Although I would have LOVED to see what a TOS-era mirror credits sequence could have been like...

Mirror, Mirror here. I didn't like the DSN depiction of the Terran Empire having fallen and was now over run by a Cardassian-Klingon, etc Alliance. Come on. There is no Mirror Universe without the Terran Empire.

top 3 in order..
Mirror, Mirror
In a Mirror Darkly both (These are the same episode to me.. I don't split up any Star Trek 2 part episode)
The Emperor's New Cloak

Eh?

That episode, in and of itself, had nothing to do with the MU. True, the Defiant eventually wound up in the MU, but that was after "The Tholian Web" took place.

"In a Mirror, Darkly" did feature Tholians, and a web, but in that case it was the MU versions of each.

I was being tongue-in-cheek.

"The Tholian Web" is easily my favorite of the episodes set within the Mirror Universe.

A great episode and obviously it was the basis for the Enterprise episodes but I personally don't take that retcon into consideration when I watch The Tholian Web. It only became a "Mirror Universe episode" 3 and a half decades later. It has no bearing on The Original Series. I'd be surprised if the vast majority of TOS fans even know about the Enterprise retcon to The Tholian Web since that series was low rated on tv and pretty much a footnote in Star Trek history.

Enterprise fans don't kill me. It's just my opinion:shrug:

The only one that didn't do it for me was Resurrection, but only as I find it a bit more average than the rest.

It was easily the worst one. I never got the idea behind it. The writers killed off Bareil because they didn't know what to do with him so I really don't understand why they bothered to bring him back. Even Nana Visitor said Kira was over Bareil's death. The worst thing of all is that it wasn't even set in the Mirror Universe:rolleyes:

Only the appearance of The Intendant saved it. I did not buy Kira falling for this guy so quickly or out of a sense of longing for her Bareil. It was badly place in the season too after the war arc and the wedding episode.

Mirror Mirror. For a one off idea it was ok but beyond that no...just no.

I have few problems with the Star Trek Universe but I cannot stand the Mirror Universe. I skip those episodes in DS9 and am glad they didn't mess up TNG or Voyager with this.
