Best Line in all of Trekdom

First one I thought of:

"There can be no justice so long as laws are absolute!"

Captain Picard to "God" in Justice. Sub-par episode but a great line.

"Up until about 100 years ago, there was one question that burned in every human, that made us study the stars and dream of traveling to them. Are we alone? Our generation is privileged to know the answer to that question. We are all explorers driven to know what's over the horizon, what's beyond our own shores. And yet the more I've experienced, the more I've learned that no matter how far we travel, or how fast we get there, the most profound discoveries are not necessarily beyond that next star. They're within us, woven into the threads that bind us, all of us, to each other. The final frontier begins in this hall. Let's explore it together."

-- Captain Jonathan Archer

QFT!

Honorable mentions:

"Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most...human..." Kirk, about Spock (ST II)

"My God, Bones...what have I done?"
"What you had to do...what you always do. Turn death into a fighting chance to live." Kirk and McCoy, about the destruction of the Enteprise (ST III)

"But at what cost? Your ship...your son..."
"If I hadn't, the cost would have been my soul." Kirk and Sarek, about rescuing Spock (ST III)

I was thinking the other day as to what was the best single line in all of screen Trek, from all the series and films. What do you think?

From TWoK, Khan: You are in a position to demand nothing! I, on the other hand, am in a position to grant... [gestures around the room] [pause] ...nothing.

Not so much really for the actual line of dialogue, but for the way Montalban delivers it. Nicholas Meyer really knows how to get a good character moment from an actor, IMO (see also David Warner in Time After Time).

"To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!"

Always has been my fav. Of course like the last poster said the way he delivered the lines added much weight to it. What a way to go out with lines like that in a movie :)

As I posted in the other similar thread about quotes these two go together:

"I don't belive in the no-win scenario."

"There are always possibilities."

And to go withe the first one:

"I don't like to lose."

Following on from the Root Beer quote..this has always been one of my great favorites:

Open your eyes, Captain. Why is the Federation so obsessed with the Maquis? We've never harmed you. And yet we're constantly arrested and charged with terrorism. Starships chase us through the Badlands and our supporters are harassed and ridiculed. Why? Because we've left the Federation, and that's the one thing you can't accept. Nobody leaves paradise. Everyone should want to be in the Federation. Hell, you even want the Cardassians to join. You're only sending them replicators because one day they can take their "rightful place" on the Federation Council. You know In some ways you're even worse than the Borg. At least they tell you about their plans for assimilation. You're more insidious. You assimilate people and they don't even know it." - Michael Eddington

Spock to Kirk "You should make a very convincing Nazi."

I always found that line interesting, given the fact that Nimoy and Shatner are of Jewish heritage. I always wondered how they felt about dressing as Nazis, or if they were ever asked that.

(From Star Trek V)
Kirk: I could use a shower.
Spock: Yes.

(From "Doomsday Machine")
Kirk: If I only had some phasers.
Scotty: Phasers. You've got 'em . I have one bank recharged.
Kirk: Scotty. You just earned your pay for the week.

Judging by the number of times I've seen the question raised here, probably more times than they care to think about. (As an interesting aside, the actress who played Daras was very bothered by wearing Nazi symbols and tried to get out of the part on the first day of shooting.)
