Best Halloween episode?

There's "Catspaw," of course (ick), but the salt monster scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid. My vote is for "Wolf in the Fold," by veteran horror writer Robert Bloch, author of "Psycho."

Or is there a better episode for Halloween viewing?

For me it would be Devil in the Dark,

As a kid it always scared me, the scenes of the death and the hunt in the tunnels is kinda creepy.

Obsession is another good one to be honest. However yeah 'Wolf in the Fold' used to scare me too, especially the music and the atmosphere of the seance scene.

This should qualify: Melvin Belli in his drag queen Halloween costume. What was Fred Freiberger thinking when he produced this script?

"Catspaw" was the episode that started out kind of spooky with Jackson's death, and ended up kind of silly with puppet aliens.

At least they tried to make alien-looking aliens. The later Trek shows would have made them humans with bumps or spots.

I'd have to go with Cat's Paw. It had the whole haunted castle thing going for it.
